Hahahaha. I appreciate the candor. And I'll take a free beer or two. While were here though, I might be in the minority but I prefer De Garde's approach to beer advocate than yours. I understand you have a business to run and admittedly I have never had your beer so maybe that plays into the frustration. I also admittedly I am now (for those who are keeping track at home) multiple fort george 3-ways + 1 deep into the Oregon night, so you know... grain of salt and shit... But I understand why you do what you do though. Beer advocate is a powerful tool to rally the beer geeks, gain customer feedback, promote your product, etc, etc... But the way you handle beer advocate turns me off from your product. I understand that I most definitely am in the minority and this is probably an unpopular opinion. But I am discontented by overt corny marketing (if you ever crack the portland market, I think you'll be good to understand this)... And maybe I'm the only one who thinks your beer release posts are corny. Maybe I've been jaded by how Oregon breweries do things. I don't know, I'm rambling now.


Anyway, good luck. Welcome to Oregon - I'd love to get a beer or two and chat with you... I'll buy.
