Enjoying a bottle of Le Trou du Diable La Buteuse Brassin Spécial (Barrel Aged), am apple brandy barrel-aged tripel, very good, cheers!

 

Not the most preferred of choices but thanks to a friend this can and glass somehow made it to my location. Very clutch. Another "ecstatic to be alive" day. Seriously. Cheers and happy Friday, mofos!

Revisiting some old reviews.

Can't delete the old MBC review unfortunately. Great session pumpkin ale! Taste of big pumpkin, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, allspice, clove, biscuit, light caramel, herbal, grass, and herbal/spice earthiness. Very nice robustness of flavors for 5%. The malt, pumpkin, and spice flavors are really well balanced. I will be drinking a lot of this in the next few months. I've been on a session beer kick and this fills that session area for spiced beer


Great smoked porter! Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, toast, molasses, wood smoke, light char, light dark fruit, herbal hops, and roast/smokey earthiness. A fair amount of roasty/herbal hop bitterness on the finish. Great bitterness/sweetness balance of the roasted character. Smoked beer is so good.


Drinking this as promised earlier this week when I was drinking Odd Side BBA Citra in WBAYDN. This is still awesome! Pretty much balanced on barrel flavors, but still plenty of hop flavors. Big grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, lemon zest, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, oak, light pine, and some oak/grassy earthiness. Solid amount of bitterness on the finish, extremely smooth drinking for 10%. Zero booze, hardly any warmth after the finish. Love it.

Totally agree! I can easily drink a 12 ozer while Imgur uploads, so technically I'm probably not really drinking the beer when I post. "Now" can be a very fluid concept hence my WBAYDBK (Between Keystrokes) rather than WBAYDN.

i have been cutting back on beer during the week as i have been running (and cannot keep up with the water consumption when drinking beer) so i limit it to Friday and Saturday nights...Started the night off with this:


IMO its a great lighter bodied beer...perfect for this florida heat.

Then moved onto this one:


have not visitied this beer in a while and it, too, was a great one as i cooled off from a 3 hour football practice.

Then, for dinner:


and after cleaning up, taking the dog out, it was time for something roasty to sip on as i listen to the jags/bucs game in the background.



this one has about a year age on it (i think). i had heard it was starting to go downhill quite some time ago, but just got around to ticking it.

not sure if i will drink anymore tonight (unless that little voice in my head gets the best of me!). this whole eating healthy, losing weight, and running sure does take its toll on a BAs tolerance! hope everyone has a great start to the weekend, enjoying some good beer!

 

Looks delicious! Next time I cross the border into your region, I'll track down one of those suckers.
