    Had a some beer in Joplin, MO prior to the Blackstone Cherry Concert last night. Mother's Sexual Healing & Chocolate Thunder, & also a New Belgium/Odell Collab, Hop Kitchen. At the venue, nothing but shite beer, so house rum & coke it was:grimacing: Felt a little green in the gills this morning, my wife, the DD wasn't too sympathetic. Good show though.

    Huge rain/wind storm tonight, the sky turned that greenish color you get some times prior to twisters, some branches down & we got needed rain. Starting with a SN Hoptimum

    Drinking some Brother Benjamin from Greenbush. Pretty good, but a bit to sweet for me, Next up, HopStoopid.

    Prairie Funky Gold Mosaic next. This is one of the best beers I've had this year.

    Spent the evening at Caldera Brewing in Ashland, just over the border in Oregon. The four of us did fairly different five-beer flights so we got through most of what they had to offer. Overall, very impressed- some experimental beers that didn't quite work (Rose petal, hibiscus & ginger anyone?) but others that were very good indeed. Standouts were 'Mogli', their bourbon oak-aged chocolate imperial porter and 'Rauch Ür Bock', a heavily smoked, German style lager- truly delicious!
    If all that wasn't enough, we then retired to out hotel room and polished off three day-old growlers from Sante Adairius. Hic!

    Probably one of the better beers I've had recently, to each their own I suppose.

    Currently AND cautiously sipping on a fresh batch of Hoparillo.
