As many of you know, the founding part owner of Beer Revolution in Oakland, "Fraggle" AKA "Comrade Barley", recently passed away after suffering a stroke. He was a pillar in the beer community, and he is loved by THOUSANDS of people across the world. He was a craft beer enthusiast and a punk legend. He was a hardcore vegan, and a lover of all forms of life. We are celebrating his life in the best way we know how: With a giant beer festival with live music and great food. FraggleFest is Sunday August 24th at Linden Street Brewery in Oakland, from noon to 5pm. There will be 20+ breweries pouring, including Linden, Ninkasi, Drakes, Faction, Lagunitas, Ale Industries, Iron Springs, Half Moon Bay, and many many more. There will be food trucks featuring both vegan and non-vegan options. Fist of Flour, Souley Vegan, Hella Vegan, Boucherie and others, will be providing delicious food. Live music provided by Kicker, Fracas, No Limbs, The Divvys, and United Defiance. There will be a silent auction featuring rare and sought after beers (some from Fraggle's own collection), Music Memorabilia, art, tickets to local events and attractions, and much more. Rocket Dog Rescue will be on hand doing pet adoption, and the profits from all ticket sales will be donated to Rocket Dog in Fraggle's Family's name.
