    Better yet get his kids involved. Call the local elementary schools and let the school administers know one if their students has a parent who is a thief. If the guy is willing to steal beer how can he be trusted not to help his kids cheat on their homework? Maybe if his kids find out their father is a thief they will be ashamed and not follow in his footsteps.

    Too bad there isn't some book about getting revenge and doing dirty tricks on people who steal from you, and too bad you couldn't just go on Amazon and buy it. If you could, though, it is definitely something you should not do because it would be bad.

    Haha...no reason to be scared as long as you don't steal from me and/or just keep in touch and have good communication. I'm actually a a very forgiving person, I've even sent boxes back to people who screwed me over but I do have a slightly uncontrollable mean streak that will probably get me in a lot of trouble one day. Kinda like that temporary insanity thing where someone "blacks out" and doesn't think of consequences but mine just seems to last longer j/k, not really :wink: I don't want to go into specifics but I have seriously contemplated buying a plane ticket to reclaim my whats mine, luckily it didn't come to that.

    I'm honestly not trying to to come across as some hard ass, I just have little tolerance for people stealing from me and it upsets me when it happens to others on this site. For the most part, there are great and generous people here, when someone f's that up it affects all of us and I take it seriously. Just like someone wouldn't want to move into a neighborhood where a bunch of burglaries happen, why would someone want to trade beers here when every day they read about someone getting screwed over?

    Based on your avatar maybe I'm the one who should be scared?

    Such a hard ass I started a LIF for people who lost their pets (because I cried like a hardass when I lost mine) and I'm even more hardcore because I couldn't find it in my evil heart to just send one box so I sent 4. I could go on and on how hardcore I am :wink:

    He still hasn't logged in since 7/11/14... 18 days and counting.

    Let's recap the series of messages since he agreed to ship at the beginning of JUNE. These are all from him, note the delay between messages (often 1 week or more):

    6/3/14: I could do that. That will leave me a couple empty holes in a 12 bottle shipper to surprise you. Let me go to my bottle shop today and grab a Sucaba (i know, its still on the shelves here...) and I will get this boxed up. Fresh Blind pig will be here thursday so I will pack it up this weekend and mail out on Monday morning so its not sitting in a hot warehouse all weekend.

    6/9/14: I lost a friend to cancer this weekend and was not able to get this all boxed up. I will get it done this afternoon and shipped out first thing tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

    6/10/14: Probably better off for the bottles anyway, it was 106 yesterday and cooling off to 85 by the end of the week. The bottles would have blown up! ha. Fresh Pliny and Blind pig get delivered to my local chop every Thursday so I am thinking I will grab the freshest batch possible for you and get this out later this week.

    6/20/14: I have been swamped in and out of town the last couple weeks. I am really sorry but I havent gotten this out yet. I will pack everything in a couple 2 day shippers this weekend and get this to you by Tuesday next week. I am throwing in some good extras for making you wait!

    6/26/14: Just dropped the 2 day shipper off. It will land on Saturday. XXXXXXXXXXXXXX USPS. Nothing better than Pliny less than a week old! Sorry again for the delay.

    7/1/14: Hey man, really sorry about the delay. I'm shipping this in two boxes since I ran into a problem with my normal spot for Pliny and blind pig didn't get bottled last week. First box is going out tomorrow and the next one on monday.

    7/5/14: Box #1 arrives with TWO of the TEN agreed upon beers

    7/10/14: Here is the tracking number for the second box (XXXXXXXXXXXXX). I will try and get this to the post office after work today before they close. I will keep you updated. The know the temptations is still due. Bad news is Blind Pig hasn't been distro'd in a while so I am replacing that bottle with something else in this box.

    7/29/14: Tracking number for box #2 is still inactive, and @smitty5245 has not been on BA since 7/11/14

    I know this is probably a bad thing to say, but what if he logged in on the 11th and died on the 12th? It would definitely explain his absence.

    My guess is that he just made another profile. After this thread, he probably realized he wouldn't be able to continue his trading practices...

    Update: Still no sign of @smitty5245 since 7/11/14. I did, however receive a reply from his supervisor... It's good to know that this is at least on their radar.

    Additionally, I would like to let everyone know that @gmo_vr626 is an amazing BeerAdvocate member! He contacted me voluntarily to ask what I was supposed to receive in the trade. He lives in Cali, and thought he could find some of the beers for me. I gave him a list and offered to send some local Missouri beers to him. He didn't want anything in return, but sent a package with 3 RR sours and a great local IPA!! He even scheduled a package hold, because I was on vacation when he sent it! I definitely plan on sending some great stuff his way, and if any one deserves some love from the community, this is the guy!

    So, i was looking at his "tweets" and did not see him drinking any of the beer send...Until June 18th and walla, there was some New glarus serindipity and belgian red...I sent him this..

    @smitty5245 Interesting, Same name as a BA Beer theif and drinking some of the same beer the theif stole.Send the man his beer
