Looking for a short list to visit while in CA

Mid Trip Update:

Wedding events took up a lot more of the schedule than I thought but I was still able to hit the following so far:

Noble: Tongue Tickles was very good. We went in right before a baseball game was about to start and the place was bumping.

Beachwood BBQ: Started on their guest draft list and had some good beers (Nelson, Han Shot First (so good!), stone coffee milk stout (kind of disappointing), before moving on to their home brewed beers. Great brews, great bbq. Only complaint -my friends and I were all sitting outdoors and we were absolutely swarmed by flys who were not in the least bit scared of us or deterred by swatting.

About to head down to San Diego now... I plan on stopping at a pizza port or stone liberty station for lunch as soon as I arrive and hit modern times before heading to the hotel.

I will re-read this thread once I check-in and chart out the demise of my wallet from there. I ended up with $60 in uber credits from referring drunk wedding guests who were too hammered to get home so I have some karma and cab rides to blow.

Modern Times was awesome. Their new Phaelinx (probably spelled wrong) is a fresh interpretation of what an IPA can be and uses hops I have never even heard of before. Sat there for an hour and met some guys from a keg leasing company who were just in my hometown visiting some MD breweries.

I think im going to sleep off Pizza Port and Modern Times beers on a beach somewhere and then visit Stone/Ballast Point/Mike Hess/Societe/Council tonight/tomorrow.
