There's a large Polish population in the center of Connecticut, particularly around New Britain. I go to a great package store nearby, and they often have 15 - 20 polish beers, and occasionally some glassware.

What it doo! I'm taking a day off to be my wife's caregiver for the day.. She just got some dental work done and was in heavy sedation. I drove her around after the procedure picking up prescriptions for her, it was like weekend at Bernie's cause she was passed out the whole time.. Anyways - now back home and since she can only have liquid meals I think I'll join her ..

Just a single bottle - didn't really wanna get the whole sixer

Using a stein.. I never really use these but they do look cool. Just a little too thick on the run for my liking.

Thought I'd tap into the cellar to pair with some lamb burgers on the grill.

Off Color Brewing Apex Predator Farmhouse Ale. Makes for a happy Monday! Wish I would have had my Chicago beer runner pick up more than 4.

Poured a pale, off-yellow color with a thin, purely white head. Has an aroma of spicy Belgian yeast and bananas. The taste is not overwhelming or overly-exciting, but it's got a good mouth feel, leaves an aftertaste of banana bread, and is quite refreshing. It's leaving a little bit of lacing on the glass and the head dissipated rather quickly. 3.4/5

Finally found this one fresh. Actually seen this one at my local Duane Reade, but I have no idea how fresh those bottles are, so I stuck with getting it from Fairway.

And since I see people post music to go along with their posts, this seems appropriate:

A FishEye Brewing Co. - Saison. 'First test run for this recipe and bottled only a week ago, as expected, needs more time to carbonate but nice head retention. In fact, it's so new I haven't come up with a name or labels for it yet. SuperFly is already starting to nose dive on the flavoring hops but is one bitter palate trasher. This one turned out with a crisp light body, 6% ABV, the chill haze completely disappears as it warms (hard to tell in the second picture), and it was carpet bombed with Coriander, bitter and sweet orange peel, and Seeds of Paradise for a nice peppery finish. The yeast produces some nice funk and tang as well - this one works ... just need to come up with a name and label!! (A tad watery but that can easily be tweaked on the next round.)

'Really want another one but don't want to once again violate the sacred brewing rule of "restraint", impatience has killed too many beers before they properly mature and hit the sweet spot (a.k.a. "drank too soon" ...). Another 7-12 days and this will be killer. :sunglasses: Prost!
