Same artificial flavors used in both. I thought Warlock was more like a flavored Schwarzbier than an Imperial Stout.

 

On to Cascade Barrel house. Yet another flight- Pater (wow), Friendship Blend (solid), Cherry Quad (yum) & Noyaux (wow again). Plus a full pour of the magnificent Blackcap Raspberry Sour.

Trying this for the first time, from a local brewer. One of these days I'll get to those "first on Sunday" threads. This pilsner was named "Pony Pasture" after a place along the James River very popular to hang out on the rocks or go paddling. Inside that discarded shipping box on the floor my gold tabby cat is playing hide & seek.

 

I hope I get to try this year at least, we get most of their stuff, but that one never surfaced in SW Missouri...

 

I agree! This one is better of the two. The higher ABV certainly helps. Ha!

 

Not so fun Monday going on. Riots, death, rain, isis, etc. Plus the Tigers are down 7 in the 3rd inning on the road. So I need a beer. Cheers!

 

First time having this one. Straight up hop water .. The carbonation kinda sucks - it's rather flat, dang this brew has potential tho- the flavors are all here . Just need a lil more carb . This beer is very reminiscent of founders centennial

Three Philosophers, for the first time. Or is it? The very first fruit beer I ever homebrewed was a cherry dubbel. Even though my memories of that beer are 7 years old, I am keenly aware of the similar flavors. The key difference? About 3% abv.

 

If you dont get it let me know. Ill send you some in a trade.

 

Not sure what I'm having, but I will raise a glass to Robin Williams memory, one gifted & hilarious dude. Prayers for him & his family.

Part 2 of building the Dark Horse Crooked Tree IPA, upon first sip I think I enjoyed the Falconers Flight a little more than the Cascade but I'm not complaining.

 

Kickin' back with a local brew - Lagunitas Imperial Red. Best part of the label is all the way at the bottom -
"Petaluma, Calif & Chicago, Ill."
