Just got an update from Crooked Stave:

"Update on What the Funk?! Cellar Reserve members will have first access to tickets for the third installment of WTF?! on Thursday, October 2. Tickets ($80) will go on sale to members this Thursday, August 14 at 10 p.m. MST and to the general public at 10 a.m. MST on Friday, August 15. "

I've never beet to WTF?! before, so I was wondering if $80 is worth the price of admission. If it helps, I am a big sour beer fan. Just not sure about shelling out the dough. Please convince me! Thanks.

I can't think of many other beer festivals besides this, The Festival, FOBAB, and The Culmination that have a comparable beer lineup and are located within the U.S.

Went last year and immediately got the dates off from work as soon as the announcement for this year's GABF event was announced (Coachella got in the way of CBC's...)

Thanks, I just heard that my brother plans to sit it out so I need to figure out if I want to attend WTF solo.

By chance, could you post the rest of that beer list. I'd like to drool over more of it.

I don't know where it's going to be held so I can't speak to the size of the venue. I think the last one was 700 people but I could be wrong.

WTF?! is like trying to get with the hottest woman at the bar. She definitely has the goods, but it's a pain getting in and closing the deal. And even once you get in, she talks too much and makes you wait too long. But man, does she have the yummlies.

GABF is like your old standby. She's easy to find and it's easy to close the deal. She doesn't make you wait. But the goods aren't as yummy.

I went to both last year - had a better time at GABF. But why not go to both - WTF Thurs, GABF Sat afternoon?

This is the same venue as the CBC WTF this year, and besides a pretty long line to get in the building, did not feel super packed inside. Pretty comfortable actually! Found something online that says they can put on live music concerts with capacity 2,000 but I don't know how many tickets they sold for the last WTF. Hope this helps.

WTFunk had almost not lines in April save getting in the door. GABF is like your old standby if your old standby was loud, obnoxious, crowded and an easy drunk.
