    Greetings All,

    I'm wandering around Carlsbad this week & next for work, & after having a few sips of Stickee Monkee at a recent tasting, I'm on the hunt for a full pour. Anyone have an idea where I can find a bottle left lying on a shelf? If anybody wants to drop me a hint via message I'd hugely appreciate it

    A fine BA gave me a hint in San Diego, but my schedule might not permit me to get down there...though if I can't find one closer, I'll make the drive after dinner tomorrow night. Thanks.

    Stickee Monkee was released in May and I'd be willing to guarantee you're not going to find it 3 months later.

    iirc slaters 50/50 had it on tap though i think it was the rancho cucamonga location & not the one here. i forget.

    I recently checked Barrelworks itself and it shows that it's still available on tap as well as to go (not that it helps the OP much, since it's quite far from SD area)

    If CA is anything like MN, there are holes-in-the-wall where things stick around forever. Kind of like secret fishing holes. Except for beer.

    Call Mar Vista Liquor in Encinitas (next town south) pretty sure I saw it there last week.

    CA is nothing like MN.

    He's looking for bottles, not draft. And Rancho Cucamonga isn't even close to SD.

    Yeah, if he was close to Paso/Buellton he could get it there, but I haven't seen any in months around San Diego.

    Blessings upon your house! They did indeed have one lonely bottle left, so my mission is accomplished. Now to just find more room in my luggage for beer...I don't think I need those work clothes next week.

    There a couple places in sd city and south that still have them. Most of those places sell them for over 20 dollars and that's why they sit so long haha

    Glad you you tracked one down! Pretty lucky that a MN boy like you managed to get some help from a local and track one down in a big CA city (where things are nothing like MN, as you know).

    And if you need any of that fancy CA Bruery Hoarders beer when you get back home, you know where to find me. :wink:

    (also, please direct me to the MN holes-in-the-wall where BCBS and/or any of the variants lingered for more than 4 hours...)

    Where are you in Carlsbad? I can throw you some Alpine, always good to have friends in different parts of the country.

    I'm not sharing my precious holes with the likes of you, but I will drink your Bruery beer if you insist...

    Even in flyover country backwater places are getting harder to find. When Petschen's in West St. Paul closed, a little part of my beer heart died.

    Down by the water off of I-5. Does that narrow it down enough? :wink:

    I'm a huge Alpine fan & have had a small truckload of it delivered to MN over the years. I'm going to be around off-and-on for about a month, so I'm going to have to figure out how a long trek to Alpine fits into my plans. Haven't seen it on tap anywhere this week yet, not sure how common that is around Carlsbad.

    Nelson was off and on at Encinitas Ale House these past couple weeks. Didn't see any others but it was going rather quick each time it appeared on the list. They are just down the 101 from you, probably about 15min south.

    They did not have any bottles (of course you can't take away the bottles from that place anyways, stupid liquor laws in encinitas).
