Ok, since Max's is having a Hopfest this weekend, I had to go downtown and see what the fuss was about. So while I was there I enjoyed a flight of two Session IPAs and two regular IPAs. The one the shined the most out of the Session IPAs (no homer) goes to Burley Oak Afternoon Delight. Then out of the regular IPAs goes to Double Dry-hopped Stone IPA. That won from Aegir's India Pale Ale, which isn't bad at all, but lacked the luster of Stone's Double Dry Hopped IPA. Then Moylan's Therapy Session IPA. That beer was good but didn't have the raw hop flavor of Burley Oak's Afternoon Delight.
All in all, the beer I'm drinking now is this!



Max's has Maine's MO on tap! So why not get a Howler of it. Also they had Maine's Lunch and Maine's Another One in bottles. So I did what any respectable Hop Head would do.... Buy Four Bottles of Another One!

Living the San Diego life and loving it so far. Cruised by sunset cliffs this morning to watch the surfers and walk off some of my beer belly. Great way to start the day!



Now drinking Narwhal for the first time and holy crap its tasty.

It was between Narwhal or a 2012 Bigfoot for my breakfast brew...Beer selection here is absurd.

I drank the last MO you sent me last night 7-1-14. It had lost a lot of its luster but wasn't bad. I then proceeded to drink everything else in sight, and thus I am now paying for it.

 

I think a lot of people did. I'm with you at least!

 

Well, sorry to put insult to injury.. This MO is drinking like a tropical bomb! I will be sure to send some Prevacid in your next box.

 

figured i can't be alone, but that also involves weaving thru the actual "auto-pilots".

depending on what one likes, i can certainly see someone perhaps concluding the 14 was more "drinkable", "less heavily roasted" right off the delivery truck or similar type of potentially positive remarks. i'm certainly no expert on the exacts of "potential" but, the 14 doesn't strike me as likely to drift towards any significant improvements with time/age. #shrug

Moving on to some nitro chub, first time having this beer and not really feelin it too much to be honest.



The hairy shirtless dude on the TV is Robin Williams..terrible picture timing haha. I'm watching The Fisher King with Jeff Bridges and Robin Williams. Pretty out there movie but I'm diggin it so far.

Awesome! I can't wait to move back, had to leave for some family stuff. Miss it there every day. I lived in Pacific Beach. Such an awesome place out there, and of course, great beer. haha
