Guinness, Samuel Smith and a local brewery that is out of business, they brewed 7th Street Stout, in 1994.

Sierra Nevada Stout, which was shortly after my first full serving of alcohol/beer SN Pale Ale. I was visiting friends in Chico the summer before college.

    BAM!
In 1984 (when I had my 1st) I assume Guinness was the only game in town (maybe Mackesons but not certain).

    !st American was SA Cream.

Definitely Guinness, it gets crapped on a bit, but it's a dry Irish Stout, not a RIS, or a BA anything. Still great true to style, and always available.

Mine was Guinness. I was 21 years old and in England for a college-sponsored class trip. My host urged me to try one. It even had the shamrock in the head. I thought that was pretty cool. I prefer Murphy's these days but I'll never get tired of draught stouts.

Guinness. My first Imperial Stout, the one that made me love them, was Saranac Imperial Stout. Beer like a bar of dark chocolate dissolved in alcohol.

I'm sure I had a Guinness many years ago but it took a barrel aged stout (KBS) to open my eyes.

Guinness was my first. Old Rasputin was the one that kept me coming back for more. Yeti came next followed by an incredible 2011 Eclipse on Christmas eve 2011. We didn't really know what we had at the time, it was a game changer.

Even when I was a Shiner/Fat Tire drinker, I never had the urge to try Guinness. I'd had Left Hand Milk Stout & FBS before I ever tried a Guinness. As you can imagine, I didn't like Guinness much.

Old Rasputin was actually my first stout. I tried that before I tried Guinness. Haven't looked back since though.

Can't remember if it was Guinness or Murphy's...I voted Guinness. I actually like Murphy's better out of the two.

Sam Adams cream stout. Was unimpressed. My second stout was Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout. Was quite impressed. Now I hoard that stuff.
