Just purchased a six pack for $14 out the door. Going to have a couple and watch the Tiger's tonight, David Price vs. Felix Hernandez. Should be a good evening!

Have not had the pleasure of Mars yet, but just from seeing pics in WBAYDN, it is much redder than The Oracle. Which one is better likely depends on the drinkers preference. Being a huge fan of Red I's and barleywines, I can't wait!

Just finished my first. Reminds me of a toned-down (in a good way) version of devil dancer, where the malts take a front seat to the hops. Similar color as well. Was very drinkable at 10.1%. I think I'll need a few more to get a better opinion.

I would of liked if they did a gift pack of all of the beers plus a special glass all for one price.

That would be cool but I don't think really logistically possible, especially for a brewery that has to meet a large volume demand of core beers for distribution.

I wonder if this will be released in the south...specifically Atlanta. I doubt it though.

They are releasing it over their entire distribution footprint, and I'd assume Atlanta would get more than any other city in GA. That's certainly the case in Missouri; St. Louis and KC get much more special releases (and everything else) than the rest of the state.

So stay on your toes! Beg your bottle shop to at least let you know when it gets in, if not reserve some for you. Cheers!

After I posted that comment, I recently found Two-Hearted and Oberon cans in KC, and those not only were dated as fresh, but they had to be fresh, since the cans weren't out yet (I don't think) when Bell's pulled out of KC, which now seems was a temporary issue.

I was talking to someone this week who mentioned that the entire KC area only saw 4 cases of Black Note. And I don't think the stores that got it even knew they were going to get it, as I had asked the guy over at Lukas in MO if they'd get it and he didn't think so, but that was one of the places that supposedly got it. Maybe we'll get more next year, as that's on my short list of "to try" beers.
