A TW employee told me that Ccb hasn't even brewed good gourd yet this year. Any truth to that? I seem to remember it already being released by this time last year.

It's listed as an August/September release right on their website so I hope your TW contact is wrong

Good Gourd was one of my favorite Cigar City beers from last year. So good I went out of my way to get a few bottles, of which I've managed to save two for a special occasion.

i dunno how long it takes to brew and bottle, but i think CCB plans to have it on tap 3rd week of Sept from what i've heard.

It's August....it's still summer, Fall doesn't start until October. If we don't see Gourd by November, then I'll be concerned.

Also, Gourd will be on Nitro this year at some point

Too early, everyone else is dropping theirs early and come thanksgiving only Pumpkinhead still sits in the shelves. That being said I've had a few Warlocks so far this year as after dinner beers and they've been quite tasty ( still not gg though.)

It was on shelves in August last year. I guess all the complainers (me included) about pumpkin beers being released too early had an impact. However, I got my hands on it for the first time last year and now I wish I could take that stupid complaint back. I'd kill for a bottle right now.

Lesson learned. I'll never complain about beer being available every again.

Has it gotten so bad that we're worried if pumpkin beers don't drop in August?

I'm not a fan of aging beers, but I know a lot of folks insist this beer is at its prime with a year of age on it. Of course, it's excellent fresh. I can't wait to get some more.

i like aging... it's fun to see how it changes.

i'll probably open a '13 and a '14 side by side too see how they are. might as well do a GGA with them while i'm at it.

^ This. I like to have beer fresh right away to determine how much I like it. If it is great, I'll try to buy another bottle or two and keep one to at least one to stow away and keep for a year or so then open at a bottle share.

I bought two bottles of Peche Mortel, drank one and thought it was a pretty good stout.

I sat on the other bottle for just 6 months. It went from pretty good to amazing.

Fall starts in September. December, January, February = winter. March, April, May = spring. June, July, August = summer. September, October, November = fall. You are in FL though, and it's only two seasons down there.

Actually there's 3 seasons in Florida. Summer (late Feb-Aug), Hurricane (Sept-Nov), Winter? (Dec-early Feb). Sometimes December can think it's Summer, but that's because the ecosystem becomes dumber once it reaches the state line.

There are only two seasons here. Snow bird season (Christmas -Easter) and hot/rainy season (everything else)

Does Good Gourd Almighty get released at the same time or is it a little later? If any of you El Catador members aren't a fan of pumpkin beers or can get extra on pickup send me a BM and maybe we can work something out.
