St. Bernardus Pater 6. Occasionally I take two steps away from my hoppy lovlies and stick my tongue in a Belgian, as I used to do when I was young. Extraordinarily smooth, fragrant and rich. St. Bernardus is still top of the heap.

When they say East Coast version of a West Coast IPA they aren't kidding. Seems to me they copied the flavor profile of Pliny very well. Great beer!

Is work overrated or what?
    Screw it, move closer... :stuck_out_tongue:
    Hoppy + Belgian?
Don't pass up on stuff like this if you see it...

The Piraat Tripel was a surprise-to-find yesterday, but Duvel's been doing it for years.
Both are unmistakably Belgian, but with more emphasis on the hops :grinning:

Also, "stick my tongue in a Belgian" lol - *Belgians scatter*

Not the best pic, my apartment gets horrible sun exposure. Having a Sloop Sauer Peach. My girlfriend is getting hooked on sours so she keeps getting growlers of this one for now. No complaints here.

Also, there is a frog dog in my apartment. Don't worry, she's not a threat.

This morning's drink-off. Terrapin Recreation Ale is the preferred beer. Both 4.7 % ABV and both have a herbal/piney hop flavor.

I love the pack in/pack out concept with the cans. I just recommend that Terrapin include "beach" around the top of the can, which currently says "hike, paddle, camp, bike, partake." Substitute beach for partake. Beach can be a verb, right?

I never pass up the chance to stick my tongue in a Belgian.

I'm working through the Sierra Nevada Fall Sampler today. Started with the Vienna Lager, and having the Octoberfest right now. Both beers are winners to me, and the inclusion of Tumbler makes the pack irresistible.

    Cheers!
