What beer are you drinking now? #669

    Sun just coming up on the east coast. Was digging through cellar last night and stumbled upon a 4 pack of these. Gotta say it actually surprised me how fantastic this is right now. Fresh is awesome with the aroma and hop explosion but there's also a cloying malt backbone at times. Had one a few months ago and it was in a weird phase of hops were fading but still had alcohol heat and pretty sweet. This is no longer the beer it was but has morphed into almost a great american barleywine. Alcohol heat is gone, cloying sweetness is no longer there and enough hops to bring it into a new harmony. Cheers all!!!

    Flying Goose Perley Town English IPA from New London, New Hampshire. 8% ABV. Good malty character and assertive bitterness. I think it is one of Flying Goose's better brews.

    I actually reviewed the beer and drank about half that can before I did the chug. It's the chugging I don't like. I mean I killed that tall boy inr ecord time. I got an honorable mention as I failed to actually chug the whole beer. I stopped twice and some people were so creative with their chugs. I mean one fellow even did an elevated pour into the throat and that was just so much better than mine.

    OBX - Day 5 - I'm a glass half full sort of guy, but this was too sweet, especially for a full bottle. On to my six of Levitation.
