Correction: no bottle pours (Apparently), just t-shirts and glasses

ABV pub still has the three BCS kegs about 3/4 full for stout and barleywine, half full for coffee. Had a 6oz BCS barleywine with a burger for dinner. Burgers there are damn good.

went to Produce Row event. Had full use of corporate card

Pros: The beer was fantastic, got a free shirt and glass, and had a good time with some friends. Ordered 2 flights, then followed that up with 2 King Henry and 2 Vanilla. Then split a bottle of Sucre at my house. Not sure how I woke up Friday morning.

Cons: Did take a while to get beer once we ordered. Not sure who was pouring. after the initial onslaught though, the beer came out a little quicker.

I thought it was more fun than Belmont. Especially since you didnt have to order flight or nothing. $3.50 for the pours they were doing was pretty good deal in my opinion. Vanilla was fantastic after it warmed up, and the '09 BCBS was really nice as well. King Henry was very good and had a lot of depth of flavor and I really have no complaints about it, yet I would not say it was the best barleywine I have ever had.

Goose Island Migration event Wednesday, September 3rd

We are pleased to announce that Goose Island Brewing out of Chicago has chosen us to host a Goose Island Migration event. What is the Goose Island Migration you ask? The simple answer is this: Goose Island sends brewers, and many rare beers and host events in multiple locations in a market. This is the first time that our market has been included in The Migration and we are one of those chosen locations. We will be hosting a Migration event on Wednesday, September 3rd starting at 6pm. As we mentioned before there will be brewery representatives on hand. What rare offerings are we talking about? The brewery digs deep for these events they are sending us:

    Bourbon County Proprietors
    Bourbon County Coffee 2012
    Bourbon County Backyard Rye
    Juliet
    Sofie
    Matilda
    Gillian
    Lolita
    Ipa
    312 Wheat

This will certainly be the first time that we have seen many of these beers on draft in this market.

Sorry for the late reply, but I've been out of town. All of the kegs kicked just after 9pm on the night of the event, so nothing will be making a comeback.

Is it going to be at the CD location too? The Chucks CD Facebook says they will have it but the regular Chucks Hop Shop Facebook doesn't say anything about Coffee BCBS being available today at the Greenwood location? Maybe both spots will have it? Thanks a lot

They both are scheduled for today with goose island, but the CD location states the time while the other does not.

How is it starting today and they still don't have a list of events on the goose island site?

I found that Goose Islands facebook events were much more informative / complete than the website.

Looks like GI lost interest in it since they haven't updated New York City either.

So far it's just Chuck's today and Brouwer's tomorrow? Pretty weak compared to Portland's events.
