2nd Lone Star Beverages location coming soon!!!

    Just saw on their Facebook page that Lone Star Beverages in Carrollton is going to open their 2nd location this fall. Here's the highlights from the announcement:
    At Lone Star Taps & Caps, you will get a one of a kind experience including flights from 50 different taps of craft beers and ciders from all over the world.

    You'll be able to choose from our wide selection of 32 and 64 ounce beer growlers, or bring your own growler, and fill it up with any of our tap beers to enjoy at home. Lone Star Taps & Caps will also have a bar and great atmosphere so you can taste, sample, or enjoy our wide craft beer selection with a wide variety of local, national, and international craft beers. on draft and in package!​

    There's definitely a dearth of good bars in that area. The closest I can think of are Holy Grail (which is usually packed and noisy) and Ginger Man

    This is great news - 10 mins from the house and I'm a sucker for growlers. I love my monthly treks down to C&G, but having something up north for all of us who have given up and moved to the 'burbs is awesome.

    No food being offered at the new location.
    There are several restaurants in the area that we are working with to deliver food to our shop, and food trucks as well!

    Initially we will test hours of operation, we will be allowed to be open late with a "late hours" permit, but honestly it will depend on the traffic of the shop

    hmm...Bottle Shares.
    Obviously being a fellow BA I would love to do or host them, just got to figure out logistics and legality issues as well.
    Will get back to you on this when I get more info!

    Holy Crap! That place is less than a mile from my son's house! :slight_smile: Hopefully they'll have Yellow Rose on tap so I won't have to lug growlers of it from H-town with me when I visit.
