Please purchase more fermenters and hire another brewer. Thanks.

King Sue is sold out about 10 mins ago. My buddy got the last four KS, and I had to settle with Sosus. Oh well...

I have no problem applying for that job.

"Settling" with Sosus isnt a bad thing considering it's great. Your buddy can't give up one of his four bottles?

King Sue and Sosus both came and went already today here at John's. Can't wait to drink a King Sue tonight, really enjoyed that one on draft a few months ago.

This is all my own assumptions, but I assume costs of expansion. They just upgraded to a 30bbl brew house. Don't think it would be feasible for them to expand again already. It's not like that is cheap....and I'm sure they need to recoup debt/costs that went into the current expansion first, which will likely take a while.

Not at all surprising. I wonder how many cases of King Sue and Sosus each account got? My guess would be two.

At Hyvee, they got 1 of each. I got lucky getting 1 bottle of each visiting someone near the Hyvee.

Hopefully. I believe the last time Sosus was delivered that at least 1 store i talked to got 1 case.

FYI we will have a limited supply of King Sue, Sosus and Naughty 90 available at The Courtyard. Not open until 3pm today, though. And I'll also echo previous comments on the Sosus front! Definitely on par with King Sue according to my complicated 'DIPA Deliciousness' rubric. Tangent: After the first bottling of Sosus last Spring, I took a trip out to Portland and brought a couple bombers to an impromptu bottle share. Tasting alongside a bunch of other top-notch, fresh hoppy things - Sosus still proceeded to blow people's minds. That was the first time I really put into context the quality of beer that was being made in our backyard. So, maybe that's part of it...but it's probably my favorite beer TG makes. Cliff notes: We have some bottles, stop by before I drink all the Sosus!

    1) scaling up isnt as easy as people assume
    2) quality ingredients are not exactly easy to come by
    3) very labor intensive, brewing is a skill, you want them to hire a bunch of guys who are making mediocre beer somewhere else?
    4) new equipment is expensive, they already just upgraded

Remember 18 months ago, this brewery was almost entirely draft only, save for a few bottles of assassin, and mostly at the brewery. And nobody had heard of them. Now they are at the point where they are churning out a nice batch of bombers every other week.

Why? So you can sell more of their beer online and keep complaining?

    http://www.*.com/auction_details.php?auction_search=1&auction_id=106574&option=basic_search&item_type=all&limit=25&keywords_search=assassin&results_view=closed&form_search_proceed=Search#33c9c347637f

Maybe use a different ID next time.

Sad that all this great beer gets sold by someone who complains on every TG thread.

I got a text from a buddy who said he was talking to a worker at the Bottle shop, "Already sold out, apparently people have been following the van. Wiped them out right away."

I guess good for them being able to do that. But again pretty shitty hording the beer, so others cant get a hold of any.
