That's fine, but don't be upset because others feel differently. I don't care if people have a problem w my cellar or if my wife buys me a couple bottles of something. I don't need to justify it to any of you, nor will pout and make like a shadow, or whatever he said.

Madison got 48 bottles each of KS and Sosus. Trixies said expect more in about 2-3 weeks. Any truth to this?

We shared a bottle of each today. I preferred it on draft but that's my take on pretty much all of TG's line and I'm a little harder on beer at 2 in the afternoon vs 10 at night at the bar.

What were bottles prices on these at TG?

To get back on topic. ISO Assassin FT: $50 sadly all I'm willing to spend.

I get the whole commodity thing. I get the supply and demand thing. I just don't get the 210 dollars for a 25 dollar a bottle thing. I guess it just chaps my ass. Full disclosure I have my own Assassin so no butthurt.

Some people make 6 figures(+) and $200 is nothing to them. They'd rather pay that then f*** around trading, chasing trucks or hitting the refresh button on their computers for countless hours.

Other's are dumb as shit and deep in debt. Hitting the refresh button is for chumps, there is an Add-on for that!

Like you said he doesn't need to answer or justify himself to any of the rubes in here. The only entity in this equation I sympathize with is the brewery. I can't be fun to listen to disappointed fans when they miss out on the prized release, but then again maybe the secondary market allows them to strengthen their branding by expanding to far away markets. I don't know the pros and cons to this side from the business angle.

This is also true. I personally find beers like saga ($12/12 pk) and expedition stout ($16/6pk) to be good enough for me. No reason to go into debt over ticking beers.

I don't think the issue was him listing the bottles at such a cost, it was bitching about TG about underproducing their products and not meeting demands when he himself is a perfect demonstration of the kind of people that cause the fans of good breweries miss out on special releases.

I don't take offense regarding the sale, it's your bottle and you should do what you want with it, but in his shoes I definitely wouldn't have the balls to complain about the brewery when you have enough excess bottles to be selling them online.

Let's be fair, he "accidentally" bought too much. The only way to rectify a mistake is to cash in!

Wow, I know nothing and thought about throwing up an IP trade offer as I'll be flying into MSP next week before heading up north. Guess Fremont Rusty Nail may not fetch these.

I understand the rationalizations people make about the economics of it all and they are entitled to their opinion and to do what they want in the end. As for me, it's just not where I want to see this hobby go. I know it's already going in that direction and has been for a while now and I'm sure I'm being naive, but I would hope true BA's would refrain from that type of behavior and do their part to keep it from from going too far down that path.

Did they post about this or did you talk to them? Would be fantastic if it's true. I thought the deliveries would be more than a case each, at least for Sosus. Seems like the batches were pretty small.

    Some solid logic by MNPikey

Yesterday: Hey Toppling Goliath buy more fermenters and hire more brewers.
Two weeks ago: I have enough excess of the limited release Assassin I need to sell the extras.
