What beer are you drinking now? #671

My first apricot sour. Mouth puckering! Good, but much better when it got warmer. Thin mouthfeel and bubbly. As far as apricot in sour, I'm not so sure. The flavor didn't really shine through as I was expecting. Maybe I shouldn't have expected so much as the difference of sour fruit in sour isn't as significant as sour fruit in pale ale/IPA? Maybe a Fou Foune would change my mind?

Looking thru the fridge last night and forogt all about this- was from Dark Lord Day- Even though it is 4 months old it was still pretty good.

 

Bring on the weekend I have 3 more left!

 

I'm wondering if anyone could explain why little bubbles cling to the glass like in this picture. Sometimes I pour beer and it doesn't do that, sometimes I pour beer and it does. It always seems to taste the same, I'm just curious why it happens.

Its because your glass is dirty. Rinse it with hot water and baking soda, should do the trick.

 

I think it's because the glass is not as clean as it should be.

if you don't want that appearing in your picture, either use a [clean] tea/coffee spoon (mine's plastic) or a chopstick / shish kabob stick & rub it directly where the bubbles appear. they disappear right away without fouling up the head & general appearance. i doubt this phenomenon is simply that the glass isn't clean.
