I've been reading up on this since the question was posted and it seems everyone says that is is because the glass is not clean. Here's one article with multiple industry experts chiming in: http://www.craftbeer.com/craft-beer-muses/coming-clean-about-dirty-beer-glassware . Here's one with various suggestions for testing: http://www.micromatic.com/category-cid-7590.html . Perhaps a separate thread is needed. Don't want to derail this one.

Mars the bringer of war? More like the bringer of rain according to my weatherman outside. Summer around these parts has been cool, wet, and nonexistent.

As for Mars? Decent enough beer, very malty followed by a very bitter and dry finish. I guess I'm a Hopslam guy! Price on these sucks around here as stores are breaking them up and charging premium prices. I shelled out $3.99 for the privilege of trying one. I don't regret it, but I'm done unless I stumble on some cheaper.

    Cheers to Friday!

I've only had the "Kriek" from them which was VERY good in my opinion. My local store has this one, the blueberry, and I'm not sure what else. I just have to bring myself to spend $30ish a bottle first. haha

I just got one of these on a trade and have never had it, is it going to blow my mind? I want to open it now, and I want to save it for a special occasion...so torn. haha

I had only the Sang Noir before this and that one was fantastic! I paid $20+ shipping (as a part of a larger order) for the Apricot from the Cascade online store, which is no longer open as they are "concerned about the legality of shipping beers across state lines".

I really like it but it doesn't blow my mind or anything, but that could be because I've had so many. I would save it for maybe another year.

Yeah, it was just good for me, not mind-blowing (had a 2011 at the end of 2013). Wait a while since the bottle actually says "best after..." certain date.
