I really can't remember but I think it was Mexico. Most likely Corona but I wouldn't touch this beer with a 10ft pole today.

no idea what my first sip of beer was. if it was dad's it was Schmidt's. if it wasn't, it definitely was a german bock... likely in (West) Germany. whatever it was, I couldn't have been more than 3....

come to think of it, a bock in w Germany wouldn't be imported, would it?

Lowenbrau! Who didn't drink that stuff in their youth! It made you feel "sophisticated" 20 years ago! Haven't seen one here in DE in about 2 1/2 years!

Drank a Guinness stout in Nassau, Bahamas 3/4/95 while on spring break. Not sure if it was Foreign Extra or regular stout. It was in a bottle and was brewed in the Bahamas.

Pretty sure I had a Corona with my parents as my first import. It's a small miracle that I actually made it this far after such a scarring drinking experience.

I had Killian's Red back in the early 80s, thought it was Irish (wrong!, You can fool 18 year olds easy when they aren't paying attention). That was probably the first beer I had that had any discernible malt profile

Guinness Stout on tap about 1968. It was served too warm for me and it tasted like a dark beer with a half teaspoon of chew (Copenhagen) added. Probably like the Export extra stout version now. Which I do like now.

Other. Red Stripe when I was 15 and it was my first full beer I ever drank. Don't know if it doesn't count because I was actually in the Caribbean when I drank it.

Beck's. It was my first weekend at college and a guy on my floor bought a 6 pack of it. Quite a bit different from the Busch and Bud that I had been drinking in high school.

My first import was Paulaner Hefeweizen shortly after I turned 21. I had only drank the usual BMC offerings up to that point and was blown away.

Pilsner Urquell, along with a few Armenian beers (Kilikia or Kotayk) where what my dad usually stocked the fridge with when i was growing up.

My parents were really into Mexican beers, so that was the first one I tried. First one I bought for myself was probably Guinness or Bass. Bass was my "luxury" beer before I got into craft.
I had a friend who was really into Newcastle though, so that's also plausible, but I don't recall completely.

Had to be a Labatt Blue while watching the Blackhawks in high school. Everything Canadian was cool for hockey fans back then.
