    Wheat beer confessional: I have enjoyed every wheat beer I've had (IIRC) BUT I am not a big wheat beer drinker - Weihenstephaner's Hefe Weissbier is the only wheat beer that I return to annually.

    Weiss bier retrospective: To the best of my knowledge, these are my only wheat beers from 2014...

    I went to grade school with a Julie O'Weiss, and at my first job (at a grocery store), my boss was George Weiss :wink:

    Moving on…

    My buddy is over. The deal was that our wives would take the kids up to the Crayola Factory in Easton, PA (home of Weyerbacher) while he helps me with some long overdue work around the house: repair a fence, install new window well covers, etc.

    Well, it's raining pretty hard. But it just so happens that my buddy is a certified Sommelier:grinning::grinning:

    He doesn't drink a ton of beer, but his palate is so fine-tuned that he puts me to shame every time we hang out. So let's get started…

    I'd like to second the thanks to @LeperJim for hosting "weiss day". It inspired me to to seek out and explore beers in a style I, unintentionally, keep pushing to the back of the line. By the end of the day, I hope to be a little more weiss to this style. (Get it? Weiss = wise? :astonished::astonished: Sheesh. Tough crowd!) I'm starting out with this one, and it looks like Swish approves!
