Saison Brett is hilarious to watch people pour for the first time...

Damn, anything yeasty. I poured that Fire and Blood GoT brew. Instant head. Ruined it.

I'm very good at pouring beers, though Rayon Vert gave me a good challenge

Homebrewed a pale ale a few years ago but futzed with the recipe I had. I believe the culprits were too much crystal malt and juuust a tad too much carbonation. The bottles didn't explode or overflow when they opened, but trying to pour them? Nothing but head. Pouring a 12 ouncer into a half gallon pitcher yielded an inch of beer below a foam tower that almost overflowed the pitcher. It actually tasted really darn good, but those pours never cooperated.

Then there was the time I tried pouring a whole Duvel bottle into my boot. PROTIP: Pour your Duvel slooooooooooowly.

No major mishaps with store-bought beer (just minor head overflow), but a couple of home brews have been a bit...um...aggressive, carbonation-wise. One was a rye-maple barleywine that was a slow-motion gusher—foam gradually rising out of the bottle within 10 seconds or so after opening and requiring 3-4 sloooooooow pours over 5-10 minutes to empty a 12oz. bottle. The other was a biere de garde that was inconsistently gusher-prone—every bottle was a guessing game—some being fine, some gushing forcefully out of the bottle.

I lost about a quarter of my bomber of Wild Devil last night. As soon as the cork was popped, the bottle just overflowed.

7 Years ago, highschool kegger. Super smashed, trying to hit on this girl and refill my red solo cup at the same time. Poured like ten beers into one cup.

Ive certainly had a few but one that sticks out is left hand nitro milk stout.....was trying to impress some friends with the cascade....they say to pour it hard and ive never had any other problems with doing that but i guess literally inverting the bottle as quickly as possible into the glass isnt the way to do it....it also didnt help that the glass was too small...

holy cow, you must be clairvoyant for starting this thread on the day of one of my worst pours.

I'm a new mom, so I'm wiped out and inattentive. Frankly, Sat was my first beer in over a week....

grabbed a Jai alai popped it open and poured it as if it were water. All head. Had to slurp to prevent a spill.
bah. proof I'm out of touch with everything relating to adulthood these days. :slight_frown:

Weihenstephaner Hefeweiss - I got maybe an inch of actual beer, the rest was foam. Foamed over in the glass, and even though the bottle was mostly empty, it still foamed over out of the bottle afterward.

    No pics.

My worst pour was a Ruhstaller Capt, hard to come by in the UK and thank god I bought 2 cans. As I was pouring it somehow in my tiredness from a long day at work I managed to knock it over, drop the can and it all ended up on the floor... Not the best and also an expensive mistake. A can of that stuff is £6 here (around $9.95)

I've had a Straffe Hendrick explode everywhere after a rough car ride home. There's also been the occasional cork that has removed itself after the cage was loosened. Fun times! :grinning:

+1 That beer is unpourable- best to drink from the bottle.
As said above, Saison Brett is a classic.

FWIW, I was almost decapitated by a Tilquin Oude Gueze the other day.

My first Gulden Draak pour reacted like Smaug protecting his horde.
