CANBIF Fall 2014

    FondueVoodoo and I have decided to get CANBIF going again for the Fall edition. Here are the rules/details of how we intend to proceed:

    - Registration: Email/conversation sent to FondueVoodoo and Phyl21ca with full address (City, Province) before midnight on September 10th.
    - Participants who have never traded need to inform us and should plan on acquiring a styro shipper.
    - Please also inform us if you have regular trading partner on BA.
    - Pairing will be available by September 14th at the latest.
    - You must be willing to ship between September 15th and September 28th.
    - Amount of beers to be sent: 110-150 oz (which is approx 5 x 22 oz bottles and 1x 12 oz bottle). At least half of the bottles should be local. The rest can be an assortment of US/other provinces.
    - Swag is not required but is optional.

    We have decided to keep the same rule as last time in order to simplify the management of this BIF but I would like to remind everybody that the goal of this BIF is to share good beers between Canadian BAs.     That's really tempting!

    I will be out of the country from October 8th to 27th, but it should be "ok" with the shipping dates. My main concern is not being able to drink the hoppy stuff before leaving, but it should be feasable. :stuck_out_tongue:

    I will think about it today and give an answer tomorrow (and send an email if I decide to enter).

    I'd love to participate in my first one, what size shipper is recommended, a 12 or 6?

    Most people go with a 12 but you probably could get away with a 6.

    Based on the past rounds (see link above) I would say the average tends to be around 8-10 large format bottles.
