New Glarus upcoming beers and other info

With that style (and Oud Bruin) they might not be able to hit specific targets with release dates. They probably taste them every day/every week and when they're ready to go, they put them out.

 

It should be out this week in Madison according to Rileys. Who needs rational? About time we have a brewery that can keep up with the demand! They can release a new sour every couple of months, just keep them coming!

 

A rational release schedule would mean that I don't have to follow this shit like a hawk.

That is the beauty of New Glarus. No real need to follow or chase. You walk into a store and say, oh shit, when was this released? Then you buy some, go home, drink it, and think, damn it's good to live in WI.

 

Word on the street is Black Top will be back this year, I'm guessing after or with the pumpkin seasonal.

 

And then you go back a few days later and there's still a bunch of it sitting there for you to gorge yourself on. That's the best part.

 

And if your store runs out, lo-and-behold, the random gas station on a road trip or supermarket in an upstate town has some too.

Cran-bic is now up on the official website. Sometimes that coincides with Beer Depot availability. Anybody visit NG today?

Madison is usually 1-2 days behind, the rest of the state about a week later.

I love how NG recommends Chalet Limburger as the cheese pairing for Cran-bic lol.

 

I haven't had Cranbic, but the reviews I've read all have me thinking that it's going to taste similarly to Serendipity. Anyone who has had both want to weigh in on the differences? Also, any insight as to whether or not the coolship beer is blended into Cranbic? It's the same label wording as the last batch, so maybe the coolship was not utlilized?
