Need to find some options for 6/4 packs besides Union Jack and the Port cans that we regularly get in SoCal. I'd prefer dry IPAs with hopefully some aroma.

Stone is VERY particular about fresh beer and instructs their distributors to pull beer if they feel it is too old to accurately represent what they want. Their reps also do spot checks at retailers.

Two-Hearted and Modus Hoperandi, now that they are distro'd in SoCal, are 2 other choices.

Just had Betty IPA from Hangar 24 for the first time last weekend, super good, I hope they start to distribute that one heavily.

I pretty much only buy 6 packs when it comes to IPA's,
    Stone IPA
    Racer 5
    Caldera
    Dales Pale Ale
    Ranger
    Sumpin' Sumpin'

    are all regulars for me.

Golden Road Wolf Among Weeds .... is one of my favorites. Dry (FG 3.2) and aromatic.

Yes, only available in cans and on tap (no bottles). Not sure if they distribute to San Diego, but easy to find fresh in LA.

This is pretty debatable. Until GR starts putting the canning date on the box and make it easier to tell freshness, you still have to open the box to spot check the date on the can.

Hard to beat Costco's Golden Road 9 pack, 16oz variety for $16. All 3 IPAs are > good, but Wolf and Heal are aromaticly strong.

    Heal the Bay
    Wolf Among Weeds
    Point the Way

At least Fountain Valley had them for a few weeks. Fullerton location should still have plenty left. I'm not sure of any other locations.

Good to know. Was pretty bummed about their new packaging not having the date on the outside of the box.

I just contacted GR to see what's up with the canning dates on the new boxes. I have slowed my Wolf among Weeds purchases because of no dates.
