Alright, so I'm sure a lot of you have seen the ISOs for KBBS. It seems like its trade value has decreased in trade value. Has a new one released? Or about to get released soon?

And are these trades are actually getting done?

A new batch released today & you'll need your entire cellar++ to get one at this point

I would think around 1:1 with BVDL is what it will take. 400 bottles, super highly rated, TG, blah blah blah

Doesn't look like any of those trades are getting done. Craziness

Whatbdoes its trade value has decreased its trade value mean? I would say the opposite. The most highly sought after beer currently and no reason to trade it today since you can trade it for more next day. I would venture to say whatever you throw out is not enough.

This!!! Isn't this a 12oz bottle as well or thereabouts?

There's no way I would want to give up what it would take to get a bottle of that in trade. I've never had it, and would love to try it, but is it exponentially better than BCBCS or KBS? I get that it's rare and therefore that adds to the value, but the things I'm seeing offered for one 12 oz bottle seem slightly excessive. But, I guess it's only worth what someone is willing to pay (or trade) for it.

Yep it was a 12oz bottle last year, and it looks the same this year based on the photos that have been posted.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be frothing at the mouth if I had the opportunity to buy a bottle at the brewery today. I've never been able to try this beer and have heard lots and lots of great things about it but it just doesn't seem prudent to give up what people have been offering for this beer. Not just today, but in the past year.

Meh, I'm sure they'll scale up production within in a year or two. The key is playing the long game.

True, winning a battle is nice, but in the end its about winning the war. In other words, why throw everything you've got at this beer now when it may be easier to get later

Completely agreed. Sure, I'd love to try it, but the ridiculous amount it is trading (maybe) for is a huge turn off for me.

I'd love to try this beer as well (and probably never will), but its sickening what people are offering just for a 12oz pour. If you scored one of these bottles, you are licking your chops at ALL the RIDICULOUS offers waiting to "maximize" the winning game. Don't get me wrong, I do realize that if you got a bottle that you are not gonna give it away, but damn....There's no way in hell I'd feel good about myself trading a bottle if I scored one and trading it for 12 bottles like one of the offers on the boards. I'll play the waiting game as well to try and get one without giving up my daughter to obtain one in the process. This beer has to be sex in a bottle for what it commands.

I finally got to try Mornin' Delight at a tap takeover the night before great taste. That beer exceeded the hype and then some. It's the best non barrel aged stout I've ever had. Hell, I liked it even more than KBBS, the barrel actually mutes the maple IMO.

I'd rather buy a bottle of KBBS on the black market rather than trading the necessary bottles away. If I had a KBBS I wouldnt trade it for anything other than lambic. KBBS > DB Huna/BA Abraxas > BADL's.

    I'm with you.

But I wonder if people said the same thing about BVDL.

there is more hyped beer than ever now. at some point the (current) high ends comes down in trade affordability. some people were aghast that KBBS would go 1:1 with BVDL...but why would that be irrational? trade values are mostly subjective anyways

are these trades referencing the 2014 or the 2013 KBBS or just any KBBS?
