I cringe at those threads - how many beers do you drink in a week. ALL OF THEM!!!!

 

The Plebian BA - the battlecry here is that "beer is the common man's drink" and therefore (without a sound argument), prices should be kept as low as possible for consumers, even with a long list of intended or unintended negative consequences. Long lines at limited beer releases are to be preferred to reasonable price increases as a way of dealing with demand that exponentially outpaces supply, for example. This BA who objects to price increases is regularly found engaging in the expensive practice of shipping/trading beer across the country, going through an entire tank of gas to drive around town to buy up underpriced, highly demanded beers.

 

This is probably the most entertaining post I've seen on BA!
1. The BA who could never, ever be friends or even talk to a BMC drinker. He belongs (probaly their leader) to an exclusive "club" of beer afficianado's.
2. The BA that got dumped by their signifcant other, who's dog died this morning and got fired from their job and decided to check out BA after drinking 18 beers (all above 9%) and thus lashes out at every opinion expressed.
3. ALREADY SEEN IN THIS POST - The BA who writes an epic novel so when you open up thread there are 18 paragraphs of reading material.
4. ALREADY SEEN IN THIS POST - The guy who uses a fermale avatar. You respond back and forth to their postings and feel like there maybe some chemisrty between you two until you find out his name is Buddy.

 

The "I only drink triple cognac-bourbon-brandy-scotch barrel aged super hopped bottle conditioned radioactive IPAs that have been farted on by Sam Calagione, James Watt and Martin Dickie while they were skydiving in a blizzard" BA.

 

Love this.

Not saying their beers aren't good, but it's like saying "I like vegetables! I eat spinach and artichoke dip all the time!"

 

Or this tastes like moldy bread and has a tanned, leather taste. Personally do not eat moldy bread or shoe leather so do not know what that is about.

The snob BA who ridicules and makes fun of those who haven't acquired his knowledge or sophisticated palate and likes to call out newbies, making them hate this "scene" even more. For example, "You JUST now "discovered" Blue Moon? You're a joke".

Right, because we all started with BOMB! and Cable Car.

 

The "i'll write every single word in this post in English but i'll still spell beer as "bier" BA.
The "I drain poured that garbage because it was 19 minutes old, and a pure malt bomb" BA.
The user who keeps creating new accounts to rate AAL's all 5's BA
The BA who uses way too many obscure acronym's in regular posts; ie, "this BBDLVDLWMNG is drinking really nicely"
The BA who puts pictures of themselves AND their significant others as their avatar, and 99% of the time, it is to show off how attractive they percieve their significant other to be.
The Humble brag whale collector who asks for opinions on what sort of bottled water they should cleanse their palate with after listing 19 barrel aged stouts for their random tuesday night tasting.

I could go on and on...

 

BA illiterate the guys who cant read. or the ones who don't take the time to read your full comment a fire of some counterpoint after reading only the first few sentences.

 

Yeah - I don't really review beers either. I tried to for a minute, but kind of figured it was a waste of time.

Ditto the "fresh pliny" guy. Technically, he and the Pliny is overrated guy can be the same guy - pliny is overrated when not fresh, but I had one two days after it was bottled (not three, sick) and it was the tits. You just can't drink Pliny fresh enough.

His only real counterpart is the "Pliny-is-best-exactly-9-days-after-bottling,-no-sooner,-no-later" guy.

 

The "ISO" BA.

 

Hahaha, was just in the middle of writing about the Humblebrag BA!

The Humblebrag BA -- When someone asks for recommendations for a few stouts to try, Humblebrag BA says that he loves Apply Brandy Huna, but that nothing beats tipping back KBBS while reclining on the meadow adjoining Hill Farmstead.

 

As someone who works for the federal government, I really appreciate the obscure acronyms one!

 

ISO: Bourbon Barrel Dark Lord Vanilla Doughnut Licorice with Mangoes N' Grapes.

 

The memory thief BA. The stories he recalects, whilst mildly entertaining, are clearly a blend of urban myth and experieces of other people he knows. A friend of a friend story becomes his best friends story and ultimately in time becomes his memory.
