This one gets under my skin and I'm not sure why

The 'what's your favorite, best or greatest fill in the blank style thread starter' guy. 'What's the best IPA that doesn't have the letter e in it's name that you drink on a Tuesday during the quarter moon phase?'

 

The what's the next Pliny/Heady guy

 

The Houdini BA. Starts a thread with a request for help or advice and then dissapears leaving those that reply to argue the finer points amongst themselves blissfully unaware that the OP has long since left the room.

 

Oh and the *insert beer here* is the next Pliny/Heady guy

The "This is closed" BA - when you know 100% there is no way that deal got closed!

 

Oh yea, the 'what's the difference in a porter and stout' guy which brings on a slew of self proclaimed experts that argue over the difference. To a lesser extent the 'difference in a Belgian strong dark and quad' guy too.

 

A-hole BA guy. Only posts snarky comments because they think they are more knowledgable.

Only recommends beers the OP has to trade for and are highly regarded.

The guy who needs suggestions on what beer to have at his wedding or needs advice on how to open his new craft beer only bar

 

The sophisticated BA. His avatar, litarary skills and swank photos have a distinct air of sophistication that suggest upper class if not royalty. They also smell like old money.

 

These same guys are remarkably touchy when you claim to not like one of their homestate's beers. Just an observation.

 

The "what is the value of X beer" BA

Looking to get all I can for the least amount? But of course.

 

The just discovered Lupulin Threshold Shift / Palate Fatigue BA.

"I drank a 6 pack of IPA yesterday and today the same IPA tastes not as good" "Matter of fact all beer now tastes different"

Its my favorite because I bet a lot of us have been there and its funny to see how scared folks get thinking its permanent or something.

 

While this thread is a lot of fun, I see it devolving into direct insults really soon

If you mean "The BA who calls out another BA for calling out newbie BAs". I have no problem with that.

If I was simply calling out a BA for his "opinion" (it wasn't an opinion, it was an accusation, as are all posts in this thread), then every "reply" on this site falls into that category.

I'm fine with either.
