They don't let anyone set up camp or chairs in the industrial park until 3pm. So there's no way there were 550 people ahead of him at that time. My group arrived at about 5pm, set up just past the 1st corner (maybe 150-200 people set up ahead of us).

The bottle share is great, everyone is friendly and generous. But don't abuse it by showing up late, joining a group toward the front to share drinks and then assume that you'll just remain there and that'll be your place in the line the next day.

You guys are awesome! I'm feeling a whole lot better about going after reading all these great suggestions. And I'm definitely not a drunk douche canoe haha

Last year was my first time and it was blast!! Everyone there was super nice. I didn't really know what to expect and people were offering me beer when I didn't know I should have brought my own. This year I plan on bringing some beer and of course a glass! I think I may crack open Founders Bolt Cutter, Darkness 2012 and 2013, and some more.

I got there right at noon or 1pm, what ever the start time was listed at, and there was already 60+ people ahead of me! However, I was able to park at the end of road, but I was surprised how many people were there. But, by morning there was about 100+ people ahead of me because of people holding spots for friends, etc. I didn't mind as much because I knew I was going to get my bottles.

Hmmmmm. Thought the start time was always 3pm. People must be sneaking in early under the guise of being customers of the industrial park businesses.

Lol, no. People just show up and go to the front of the line. Some people get bent out of shape because they expect there to be "rules".
I would say they are more like "guidelines".

Yeah, you're right, it could have been 3PM, I just remember people getting in line really early. I mean, really, if you're there the night before you'll get your bottles, maybe even in the morning? Which, the event is more about hanging out with people than cutting in line trying to get beer. Don't get me wrong, the ultimate goal is to get beer, but it's more than just that. Also, you won't be a loner if you bring good beer, ha.

Does anyone know what day it will be released in stores this year? I would assume 10/27, but was just curious if someone can confirm.

My wife and I will be attending and were thinking about bringing our dog. Does anyone else do that? Would that be frowned upon? He's well behaved once he settles down and we always pick up after him.

Don't bring your dog. There's extremely loud metal music being played all day.

We're actually coming the day before for Darkness Eve, getting our beer and probably leaving shortly after.
