    I hadn't even heard of this beer. A shot at Kalamazoo stout? Anise is present but balanced with the roast and alcohol heat.

    Hello everyone! Today I am drinking a beer that @beertunes sent me and I am loving it. Thanks so much Terry! This is Boundary Bay Traverse Red IPA. Bold in each of it's aspects. Lovely bitter on this one that is exactly what a bitter should be. Not oafish or lumbering, not eclipsing all the other flavors. This beer had a malt presence that surprised me in it's stature. It was light as a feather and yet exhibited much heavier tastes like brown sugar, caramel and even a breadiness! ANYTIME! Cheers y'all. My guess as to the abv which is not stated is 7.2 % Tell me if I am wrong or right.

    Great run this morning followed by a well-deserved shower beer (and yes @Greywulfken I was naked in the shower, is there some other way to shower that I'm not aware of? :wink:). It's just the most perfect day today: sunny, clear, low humidity--I just love this time of year! Happy, hoppy Saturday BAs!
