I had Jever for he first time. Bought a case of green bottles. No skunk, and hit the spot during a hot summer day. Great beer...Pikeland Pils was also quite good. Mama's Lil Pils was disappointing, however. Prima Pils from Victory was also quite good. I don't drink Pilsners during the cold months, but these were my faves this summer. Do you guys drink this style year round? Or only during the hot summer season?

I also enjoy drinking Jever (if I can find it fresh), Pikeland Pils and Prima Pils.

I drink more Pilsners in the summer but I do drink them year round.

Below is a list I posted in a previous thread:

Some of my favorite craft brewed Pilsner by brewery:

Victory: Braumeister series of Pilsners (Hallertau Mittelfruh, Saaz, Tettnanger, Sladek, etc.), Hip Czech Lager (Bo-Pils), Prima Pils (German Pilsner)…

    Troegs: Sunshine Pils (German Pilsner)

Sly Fox: Charles Bridges Pilsner (Bo-Pils), Standard Pils (unfiltered German Pilsner with Spalt hops), Pikeland Pils (Northern German style Pilsner), Keller Pils (unfiltered Pikeland Pils)

    Stoudts: Stoudts Pils

    Neshaminy Creek: Trauger Pils

    Firestone Walker: Pivo Pils

    Trumer: Trumer Pils

    Cheers!

I like Frankenmuth Pilsner a lot, at least when I had it fresh from the brewery. It was the first time I really "got" the Pilsner flavor.

Lagunitas is one of my favs. Don't drink a lot of the style but love a few on a hot day.

Dogfish My Antonia if I am looking for a one and done.

    Cheers!

It's not new, but I had Sixpoint's The Crisp for the first time this year and yep, I gotta say that.

Straub Pilsner is fantastic, one of the surprise pleasures of my summer.

Even though SN SummerFest is more like a Lager, it is fantastic. Scrimshaw Pilsner from North coast was flat and boring. Victory is way too hoppy. Schlafly and Brooklyn would be two of my other top choices.

Pilsners are lagers, but I agree that Summerfest is a great beer.

The Crisp, Lagunitas, and Konig Pilsners have a pretty frequent rotation in my lineup.

Never one to pass up a good Pils.

FSW Pivo and Victory Prima were the two I drank this summer. Usually don't do this style on a regular basis and even less in the winter. Usually Pales and IPAs in the summer then moving towards fall beers and sours when it cools off. (Although Sours and IPAs are year round beers for me).

As time passes I find myself less likely to pick favorites and here's why. Craft beer selection in WV is somewhat limited, so when traveling to PA, OH or MD I always pretend I'm not that excited, when actually I just can't wait to find beer. Had Lagunitas Pils, Oscar Blues Mammas Little Yella and Troegs Sunshine all from out of state for the first time this summer, and I thought they were all fabulous. However, I work outside in the heat and really enjoy a beer or three on most hot summer evenings. SN is available locally and I can't begin to tell you how much of their Summerfest Lager that I drank this year. Honestly, I truly cannot remember one of them I did not thoroughly enjoy. I wish every day could be a beer run to another state, but in reality I have a job and a good life in a wonderful place. The best part of my craft beer experience is enjoying what I can now, and dreaming about what I will eventually be able too.

I can only echo the sentiments of the others here. I live on sly fox's pikeland pils. I have a new one in the fridge as we speak . A bohemian pils called Barn Stormer by St Lawrence Brewing co. Will give it a try next week.

I miss having access to this beer with only a month or so of age on it. That had become my go to pils across the pond.

In the past 6 weeks it has been The Crisp and Prima Pils with the nod going to The Crisp.
