The Log Out button needs to be relocated to a different part of screen, when using tablet or phone, I press it every time when trying to press the Alerts button.

not sure if it varies from os to os but I just zoom out so you have room to hit the correct button.

I do a fair amount of browsing on the iPad mini. using the latest version of iOS. When I see an Alert and try to activate it my large fingers sometimes hit the log out button instead. That automatically logs me out without the opportunity to cancel. Would like to have the opportunity to agree or disagree before being logged out. Thanks.

I think there was a "Confirm Logout" dialogue box/button just a short 6 months ago on the Windows desktop version, but many people wanted it removed, so it was. Presumably that logic was also coded into the new mobile versions of BA. I'm satisfied without it.

Yep. It was removed as people were complaining that it was an extra step to log out.

We can't win either way. :astonished:

Understood, and appreciate the problem. But ithere's also a question of consistency. Windows, Mac and many of the hand held operating systems ask you to confirm a "destructive" or major status change. So an accidentaly log out stands out as an anomaly/inconsistency. Now that I know what the problem is I'll try to avoid it since it is multiple additional step to log back in after the error and more than one additional step to expand and then contract the hand held screen to avoid the error in the first place. Thanks for replying.

But you're talking about using a desktop website on a mobile device, not an app that's often designed to integrate with the OS at certain levels.

The app does prompt, which would make it consistent for your example.

If the app were prompting as it used to do I'd not have filed the request in the first place. But thanks anyway.

The app is prompting. Tested. Confirmed.

(Doesn't sound like you're using the app.)

I think he's just using the website on mobile. Which doesn't prompt you if you're sure you want to logout. (at least not the last time I accidentally hit that button instead of alerts before transitioning over to the app)

Ah, by app you meant the BA app. I took app to mean the app (Safari) which I use on the mobile devices. Thanks for checking.

Can we have that function? Twice now I've accidentally logged out because I was trying to check my alerts on a touch screen mobile device. If that could happen, (takes a sip of coffee), that would be great...

It used to be the way that you are requesting, but most people didn't like it so it was changed. I think that there has also been a request to move the Alert button farther from the logout button to help prevent these accidental logouts, but I don't recall why that never received any action.
