Is it me or the beer?

    I tried Earthquake 12%, wicked hangover, crossed that off my list then switched to Dogbite 10%. Now that is starting to do the same thing. Is it like this with all the HGL beers and i know these are cheap beers so you get what you pay for. Can anyone recommend a good quality high strength beer? I know I could drink Molson XXX all night and wake up fine like I never even drank last night. Seems to me that some beers just agree with some people and others it's bad news.

    Stop drinking beer cut with cheap adjuncts. There are so many high quality high abv beers available. Pick up a barleywine or dipa or imperial stout or strong ale or......

    Man, that Earthquake looks and sounds absolutely wretched. If you're only concerned with high ABV and low cost you'd might as well get a fifth of Dark Eyes or something similar. Those options you mentioned don't even deserve to be called beer.

    you're doing it wrong. seriously. if you drink too much alcohol you will get a hangover, or sick. try drinking less alcohol. not less beer, less alcohol. and drink water. it's not the beers fault.

    you might just be a crank, in which case drink Rum.

    my thoughts exactly. My hangover at school this morning is directly related to Darkness and Raison dExtra last night. If I would have went with a lighter option, no hangover. Alcohol is a poison, and the hangover is your body reacting to the fact that youve poisoned it.

    The way to prevent it (at least for me) is to stay up and let the drunkenness wear off. If I drink alot and stay up, i still get a headache. Its that poison shit.

    PS I knew my college classes in Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology, and other body sciences would pay off.

    See I drink my water and try to keep up on my electrolytes. I did all of this last weekend, and Saturday morning was a bitch. I sampled too many. Drank my gatorade and whatnot, but I still had this wicked headache.
