So let me divulge my expectations this year:

1.) Mosaic Promise - Well, I work at a Meijer, and have first hand access to Mosaic Promise the moment it get's released. Will probably buy 1-2 6 packs, and in tradition to Inspired Artist, will keep 1 empty bottle for my empties collection. Not sure what to expect, but probably light and good, somewhat complex ala Founder's style!

2.) Breakfast Stout - Ah ha! My 3 year vertical is nearing, as I have a few 2012's and 2013's sitting around. Should be good, will buy 2 4 packs for the season as usual.

3.) Dark Penance - I'm crossing my fingers this beer is as good as it sounds, I absolutely love black IPA's, and Founders has proven before they can make em' as good as the best of them.

4.) Harvest Ale - I don't think this beer even his Metro Detroit last year, and my last bottle was had before I even appreciated craft beer much (like in 2009ish). Really hope it makes it out here, but not chasing far for it.

5.) Backwoods Bastard - I know it isn't listed, but I hope it gets better distribution in Metro Detroit this year. Last year I only got it because I randomly made a trip out to Pittsburgh on a complete random chance happening, and it's a friggin shelf turd there!

    And finally, while not Fall....

6.) Founder's Imperial Stout - Really hoping for another late December release on this one, aging half a case of 2013 right now, can't wait to do verticals in years to come!

And as a 7th, I really hope for a good Backstage Release, Sweet Repute was delicious last year, but the last two were turds (Smoked Porter is lame, and Dissenter mind as well had just been a random 1 off 6pk, not Backstage worthy). Bring back CBS or CBH (would buy brewery release tickets for these =D ).

Mosaic is good. It won't blow you away and is a pretty simple, well crafted hoppy beer.

BWB was ~$12 - $14 dollars a 4 pk. here at retail in West Michigan. No way they add $10 on top of it. Sorry, if they do then they can count me out.

Across the board, Founders has done an excellent job with lowering their prices as there production capabilities improve their margins. $19 for KBS is...so cheap. Same could be said for a $12 Doom.

Mosaic Promise is very good. Super juicy on the nose, not quite the same taste. Bitter and very drinkable. Very nice fall release and pairs perfect with college football.

Lovin the mosaic promise. Really hoppy, but really light. Almost like an all day ipa with more to it. Finished off the first six pack, and I will be buying more.

Every year I say I'm going to stock up on FBS so I don't run out in the summer. This is the year...

If Backwoods is the same as KBS around here I'll just drink Wulver.

I'm pretty sure I haven't had a horrible beer from Founder's. I'm looking forward to the new anything they offer.

Mosaic out of bottles is ho-hum compared to on tap. Won't be buying any more sixers. Very disappointed.

I really like that Founder's actually releases their fall beers, well...in the fall! It seems that there are too many breweries that release fall beers too early (mid/late August when it's 95 degrees outside). It really makes me appreciate the fall season more when the fall beer is actually fresh and it hasn't been sitting on shelves since late summer time. It especially makes me appreciate the bounty of a good fall beer in the crisp months ahead.

Loving Mosaic Promise! Awesome grapefruit along with other fruity notes. Reminds me a lot of Shorts MMMKay, which I believe features Mosaic hops. Cheers!

Breakfast Stout hit SW Michigan today. It's amazing how you take for granted always seeing this on the shelf until is disappears for 3-4 months.

Oh man, I got so excited that I forgot to read the details. Will this fall pack be distributed across the country or only in select states?

I had some FBS last year when it came out and thought they were good. Didn't drink any for a while after that but still had a few left this past June. With 8 months on them they were unbelievable! The coffee had faded a little but was still there allowing the chocolate to come a little more to the front. They were so rich. Definitely buying enough to have plenty left for next summer
