Yes, giving/sharing has resulted in trying many additional beers I would likely not have been able to get on my own.

Love sharing the passion...love it more when someone "gets it".

What makes my beer journey better than it already was is sharing it with people. I get to share it with my gf who is enthusiastic about trying different beers all the time and sharing with others as well. It just makes it that much more gratifying. That's what it's all about, for me at least.

Splitting an extremely rare bottle in your distro area with a buddy makes the beer 10x better!

I've gotten some amazing brews from friends just out of the blue. So it's only fitting that I pass a few of mine to folks who haven't tried them. It's a good feeling to share the taste.

When I buy beer, I buy more than just for myself so I can share with the wife/family/friends. Its a good feeling helping people find something new they like.

My friends know what I like and I know what they like. We're bros!

Though we do have one buddy who is constantly trying to pass his turds off as "gifts." But he's just dumb.

I have, as in Airplane!, a very strange drinking problem. Mine is I cannot possibly drink the amount of beer I have fast enough to prevent my fridge from falling through the floor. So bringing random beers to parties is a regular occurrence for me. The weirder the better, you know. Nothing quite like a chocolate peanut butter porter to start a conversation.

I generally buy two of everything when possible.
    One to share or BIF.
I am lucky enough to have a few beer buddies with similar tastes so a share is always in mind when bottle shopping.
I think half my beer fridge has tags on bottles to share or ship out!

Every year for Veterans Day I ship out three 12 bottle shippers to newly returned Vets. I will be doing it again this year so please let folks know who may have returned in the last 2 years to keep an eye out in the forums. I'll figure out more of the parameters for this years selection process and it'll be in the post.

I gave away a bottle of Zombie Dust once through a LIF, but it was only one bottle. Next time, I'm thinking of giving away 3 Alpine IPA's with some sort of new LIF. I did receive without any expectation of return beers, a box of Founders goodies including KBS. I was blown away.

If this hasn't been said before - in addition to the pleasure of sharing... beer karma does exist. And while that shouldn't be the reason to share, its yet another plus.
    Cheers!

When I buy six packs at work I usually give some to my coworkers. Other times I buy my coworkers bombers to brighten their day. We work retail and the general public is very rude and abusive. So good cheer is always welcome.
