If I go, and I haven't decided yet, I think I'll have no choice but to be there right at 6:00. I can't drive that far at that time of day and not get bottles.

 

I feel like i read a few pages back about a guy planning to dress as a homeless man and camp out on a park bench, this sounds like the best course of action.

 

If you haven't left yet then you are already out of luck.

I'm wearing a Panhandlers outfit at a nearby intersection and using nice SC citizens change to buy my bottles.

 

I just talked to another BA on the phone about exactly this. I am mildly concerned.

 

What beers did CCB up the prices on? The prices in the tasting rooms for this years Zhukov, Good Gourd, and Lacto Guava bombers are the sames as last years prices for the 750ml. So, yes the prices per ounce went up due to the change to a smaller format but the bottle price is the same. Joey came out and said that part of the reason for the move to 22oz was a due to the rising cost of materials/ingredients...they opted to reduce the size rather than raise prices

 

I'm not understanding how this can possibly go smoothly. You have to wait until 6 AM to line up, so there are a bunch of people just waiting around the brewery lol How did this work last year?

I'm pretty sure I can't make it, but doubting if its even worth trying if I can.

That's my thought, but if an 'official' line doesn't start until 6 AM, who's going to sit in an unofficial line? There's no way to enforce anything pre-6AM, which is a major worry IMO.

I'm climbing the nearest tree to Westbrook to find my perch stealth style. In all seriousness, hope it goes somewhat smooth and the locals actually score some bottles from the brewery they support year around.

 

True, probably should have clarified my statement - though my focus was more on the humor in the other guys post suggesting CCB takes better care of their customers because these BA Cakes are $30/per.
I was referencing the smaller bottles with a higher per/ounce cost that you clearly stated. And I don't need any reason from a brewery for why costs went up on a product that sells before it hits shelves (or very shortly after).

 

I don't know about the rest of you but I think I found my way into the brewery. I have made an arrangement with the navy and will be launched from a cannon at 5:59 to land precisely at the front of the line. Benefits of having a brewery near the coast.

 

Any drinking in-line will get you kicked out! I also heard that anyone cutting line will be kicked out as well! If the latter is the case, kudos to Westbrook!
