Finally showed up at my bottle shop. A six pack of tasty 4.2% coffee milk stout for $9.99, I will take that all day long and twice on Sunday! Very impressed Stone, it tastes very similar to Surly Coffee Bender to me and at a much cheaper price. Winning:sunglasses:

FINALLY! The 32oz Lagunitas Sucks makes it here and it's as good as I remember. And $8 a quart! Looks like Primus isn't the only thing that sucks in a great way!

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale as I work my way through their Fall Beers 12 pack. I found the Vienna Lager to be solid, yet wholly unremarkable. Tumbler was good as usual, and I thought the Oktoberfest was outstanding.

Black beer for the Man in Black. Love this song and it is the first time he sings it and nails it. He is looking down and reading the lyrics. Cheers BA!

Had to give it a try. And it's not half bad. Doubt I'll buy it again, but wouldn't be offended if someone handed me one.

Today was a rough, long day. I got into it with a total asshole at work (@jhartley they're everywhere!); everyone else hates him, but they usually vent in private. I'm not smart enough to do that (and....well, I'm 5 years away from retirement. What's he going to do, take away my birthday?).

Fortunately, a good friend had a job interview in Providence today, and I've been looking for an excuse to go back to Nikki's and check out their aging room (@RichD et al have piqued my interest). More immediately, though, I always relish an excuse to head to Julian's; I've got a good memory for bottle options, and I was pretty sure they would have some Firestone Walker Double DBA (one of my biggest wants, especially since they announced the discontinuation of the beer). (Julian's is also where I had my first - and only, thus far - Cantillon.)

I had a good feeling about this, and I was right! 2013 vintage, and their very last bottle! $28, and to split with a friend, worth every penny. Absolutely delicious.

I did check out Nikki's, and spend an exorbitant amount of money, but the aging room - while limited - was fantastic. I'm very excited about the many, many new beers I'll be trying over the next few months.

Get some aggression out, BAs! It's thirsty Thursday! \m/

Yeah and that was a contolled pour. The head triples in size after the pour. There was a marshmellow sized cloud of head left in the botom of the glass after I finished drinking. With this beer it is not a matter of head retention but rather head control.

I could tell you of a place in my neck of the woods that has multiple bottles of 2014 Double DBA on the shelf right now. I hope you enjoyed the vintage room, and I hope you grabbed one of the 2008 Bigfoots and the 2006 Old Stock Ale. The Old Stock is drinking like a dream right now.
