Avery's Black Eye?

My guess is he's spread pretty damn thin nowadays. Between moving in a few months, GABF, herding more barrels for the barrel program expansion, and the upcoming barrel series releases I'd say the guy just has a lot on his plate.

Purely a guess though.

 

Anyone heard of any updates on the release of Black Eye?

 

Andys out of the country for the next 3 weeks, he'll be back for GABF.

According to 2 separate reputable boulder liquor store beer buyers, avery reps stated this wk to them black eye being released wk after rumpkin -- though Avery' s brewmail today said nothing about it. So maybe 10/5, maybe not? May as well throw more beer in the mix over next few wks since wallets will b so full post-gabf, right?

 

Oct 5th would be one hell of a way to end GABF weekend. But yeah, money will be in short supply.

Official word from Avery today, Oct 12th release for Black Eye.

Damn the PumpKYn was good, and bourbon Czar and Khondynka, that was awesome today.

 

Hope this is the actual release date. Want to try this beer

Anyone have an idea on the cae count for Pump[KY]n is? I imagine it is >1000 cases since there was no limit at the release

 

Not sure of the count, but I heard at least as much as UJ, if not more.

 

They stopped putting # cases on label with this one, but considering Rumpkin and UJ have been in 600-700 I'd presume in that range, maybe more as they are ramping up to distro to other states.

 

I think it's going to be more... I've heard they are really looking to distro more of their BA stuff nationally, i.e. - PumpKYn, Rumpkin, and Tweak could actually be getting closer to 2000 cases of each... could be wrong, but I trust the guy that told me...

Speaking of BA Tweak - Yesterday I heard (from a reputable source) that Nov 16th is the release date. Right on target with that article.

 

Looks like my kid's not getting Christmas presents this year.

 

10/12 is the release for Black Eye. And case count for Pump[KY]n is 2070.

 

I just saw that on the flyer today at Avery. That gives a week to recover
