NoDa's Hot Pistol stout.... served for some reason in an Olde Mecklenburg glass... at Sammy's in Belmont NC. I love this place but their glassware choices are often hilarious. Hopslam in a Coors light mug comes to mind.

Just one of the (many) cool things about living in a house that was built when Leonardo de Vinci would be have been a wee lad of 10 years.

I had a feeling that you had ease of access to these wonderful complex ales.
I have only had the priveledge to try each but once (in Belgium).
I actually preffered Rochefort 10 for the very reasons you presented. Rochefort 10 was the one beer that took me more than half an hour to consume. I drank a 33cc bottle over five hours and was blown away by how complex and well made that beer was. And to think I bought it off the shelves in a supermarket. This beer is not a whale. It is a shelfie (I use this term because I don't like the term shelf turrd). But it is the one of the finest beers I ever drank.

Good afternoon, BAs! I've had a very busy morning, and am just now getting around to my first beer (I know!). This is not only a brand new beer for me, but a new brewery and new country for me!

    Hitachi Nest Espresso Stout.

Damn, this is a really, really good stout. I'm shocked that the ratings aren't higher. It reminds me a heck of a lot of Prairie Bomb!.

@Greywulfken inspired me to go get a steak bomb sandwich for lunch. @-N8 inspired me to move to Germany and buy a house with catacombs...err, a real beer cellar. Steak bomb first, I think. :stuck_out_tongue:

    Cheers, BAs!

One of my favorite IIPA's of the year. Indeed also made my favorite IPA of the year with LET IT RIDE.

Currently drinking a Jack's Abbey Barrel Aged Framinghammer that I got as an extra in a trade. Think I'm gonna have to trade for some more. This is easily in my top 5. Sooooo freakin good.
