According to an impromptu conversation with employees at Victory's new brewery in Parkersburg PA, Victory will begin canning their most popular beers "soon". Last year Troegs began canning several of their beers, and I see 12 packs of Perpetual cans flying off the shelves. Personally I like my beer in a can, and I would be all over tallboys of DirtWolf. What do you folks think?

I prefer cans. They are lighter and easier for me to carry than bottles =)

Sweet, I can't wait. Canned beers, especially IPA's, always seem to last longer to me. And I know I love me some dirtwolf.

    :-)

Well I think the one-and-done crowd won't care much but for those of whose regular fridge stock or beer rotation schedule include Victory beers, I am pleased to hear this.

For some reason I just don't see a tallboy of Dirtwolf in the future since it's a beer they already sell in four packs of 12oz bottles. I could see 4pk of 12oz cans, but there's no way they can do a 4pk of 16oz cans without a corresponding hike in price.

I'd be all over a 4pk of 16oz Prima Pils though!

Good point. I guess I was picturing that 4 pack of 16oz Two Hearted cans I recently picked up.

Bottle or can matters little to me as I will pour it in a glass regardless...just keep bringing fresh dirtwolf to my area, please!!!

I came of drinking age when bottles were preferable to cans. At that point the liners on cans could be iffy so a lot of cans went south quick. I know that cans are actually superior to bottles, but cann't get my mind out of the 70's.

I have purchased their Perpetual in 12 pack cans. Prima Pils would be a great addition!

You beat me to it. Still trying to get past the "scars of my youth" on this one as well. As long as they do both, I will always choose the bottle. Even though I always pour into a glass. One thing I will give the can ... they do keep IPA's fresher longer.

Most Popular would include which ones? I'm guessing Prima and Dirt Wolf for sure, but maybe also Headwaters and Golden Monkey?

Add Hop Devil to the guess list. Any of the 4 in their variety pack would be a good guess as they are part of the reason the Parkesburg facility was built.

Headwaters in cans would be awesome. That and their V Lager.

I'd like to try that Lager again. It's been a while and I hear it has been reformulated; I just never see it around here anymore. Maybe the cans will improve that situation.

If I wanted to bet based on the limited information we have right now I'd put money on the first four canned as being the flagships from that variety case.

The canning line will be new and Parkesburg the probable location. So for the first go you use the beers you brew the most of in Parkesburg. I'd also bet that initially the canned beers will come only out of the Parkesburg facility so if we knew the full list of beers brewed there....

Also seems like the canning has to prove a long term success with the flagships before they'd start transporting brewed beers from Downingtown so I'd bet we'll not see any of the beers from Downingtown in cans in the near future.

Yeah- I hear nothing but good things about that one, too, although it has eluded me thus far.

I think @drtth is right, though- it may be a while before we see anything other than the 'big four', and maybe Dirt Wolf.
