Had one two weeks ago, sosoooooooooooooo good

In a pumpkin kind of mood today while enjoying a four star morning.

 

Technically this was last night, but the girl and I were watching a movie while drinking it so I didn't want to be on my phone or computer posting on here. 2006 bottle. Tons of dark fruit. Molasses and rum-soaked fig, plum, and raspberry. It stood up well, though not quite as much as the 12 of the same age I had back in July. Less sediment than the 12 though, thankfully.

 

I would love to know who does the artwork for that beer, looks much like Stanley Donwood's artwork for Radiohead's Kid A album. Great photo.

 

Jermaine Rogers did several DFH beer labels this year --- he has done poster art for Radiohead too.

I like the Festina Pêche label.

its nice to start the week with a day off. I got started with oldie but goodie Skullsplitter and later on when my neighbor drops in we'll have this years Schlafly Pumkin Ale.

Just picked up the first four , Driftwood's 'Sartori Harvest IPA' which just dropped ,

going to enjoy one as the second half replay of Leicester Man U begins ,

the rest will be saved for MNF , go Bears

It's late September in Minnesota and the forecast says it's supposed to be in the 70s/80s all week. This is rare and a definite cause for celebration. I'm doing this with a couple of hometown beers on the deck: Summit's standard Oktoberfest and the Festbier from their "Unchained" series which was released last Spring. I saved one bottle for the sole purpose of comparing it to their standard release and it blows it out of the water. Too bad Festbier is only a one-time release.

 

I turned Lucy loose on the Goose.
Yeah she's not much of a bird dog !

Oskar Blues Dale's Blood Orange Pale Ale. That's what the beer guy said it was, although I couldn't find any info on it. All I know is it's good whatever it is.
