I am looking for suggestions for a beer to share with my wife on our wedding night. I am in OK and have access to prairie so it would have to be something that I could trade for since that is really the only tradable beer in state. I would like something special. Not an IPA, but something hoppy, rich and rare.

Not quite hoppy, but definitely rich and rare. And aptly named for the occasion. Congrats!

I sugest going to some nice bottle shops if you have any and look for something caged and corked as that IMO adds a nice pop compared to just a cap. Look for bottles you may have passed over due to price before and look them up on here, the mobile app is handy for this.

Duvel is probably what I would sugest and it's under 15$ usually not rare tho.

So Oklahoma is for the most part a beer purgatory. I do have access to Duvel, Prairie, Boulevard, Green Flash, Sierra Nevada, Great Divide, Chimay. So these brands I can get regularly and would like many something a little more special. I just acquired some Cigar City Huna in a trade and I am thinking of saving this for this occasion, but would like something comparable yet different.

Mariage Parfait, of course! Splurge and get the oldest bottle you can find.

Maybe see if you can find someone willing to trade a Sweetwater Happy Ending. It's a hoppy imperial stout, limited as it's brewed once a year.

I'm typically not one to pump Sweetwater, as I find their beers average, but this one was really good when I had it earlier this year.

Name is fitting...? A happy ending to your single life!

Almost anything from Alpine Beer Co if you can find a trade partner.

Given that it's your wedding night, I'd suggest Duet

You might as well use coors light. And if you notice which beer your drinking...........sad....just sad.

    or to join two threads.

You might be a beer advocate if you are even thinking beer on your wedding night.

I second this! I had a 2010 a few weeks ago and I was completely amazed how good it was.

My vote is for you to find something ageable that you can buy multiples of now and crack open for anniversaries.

Maybe you ought to be asking her.

Assuming you want it to be a surprise, then maybe Cantillon Rose de Gambrinus or a vintage bottle of Rodenbach Grand Cru. Otherwise, I agree with the person above. Ask her.
