I hope this is a spot that most people will see this, including non-Mountain BAs that want to chime in (hopefully), if not someone feel free to move it or whatever...

I know that I personally VERY much value other BA's opinions about different breweries, so let's sound off! Name, let's say, 5 places you think people should check out at GABF. Maybe they're your favorite, maybe you like just one thing (and tell us what that thing is!) or maybe you just think they do things right and people should give a taste.

Hopefully people are throwing out places that say, someone from CO like myself, would never have thought to check out unless someone told me...

Anyway, I'll start - since I live here in Denver I'll say:

    Comrade
    Odd13
    Elevation
    Grimm Brothers
    Bull & Bush

    Golferallen54 and Looter like this.

Shhh! Let them all get in line for Three Floyds, Cigar City and DFH

Haha, I get that sentiment, but come on, share a little! You're not doing anything for the stereotype if all you do is withhold and keep people from trying good beer!

I'm only kidding. I wouldn't ever tell anyone to drink DFH

    I'll add:
    Local: Backcountry
    Non-local: Destihl

Since I'm not going this year....
    Avery
    Mountain Sun
Real Ale Brewing. I hit them at the end and was pretty buzzed, but really enjoyed the sword.

EDIT: last year I stayed primarily in Colorado breweries. While I disliked the experience of drunken jocks swinging at my glass so they could go "ooooooooooh", I enjoyed the beers and wasn't left wanting for some of the "rare" that I missed.

I'm pretty excited to try Funky Buddha since I'm not sure if I'll ever get to their brewery. I've heard great things! I have been to Melvin and everything I had there was excellent

Definitely try Funky Buddha (I expect the line to be crazy long) but don't sleep on Due South either...some of the beers they have brewed this past year easily rival Buddha...I hope they have Calling all Cars glazed donut porter & Maple Orange Imperial Carmel Cream Ale.
