    Yes a Good strong IPA is damn good, but most of them are just very abrupt/strong kick in the ass character haha

    I'm liking it a bit more today than the first time around. It's also all I'm drinking today. Last night was a great, fun little three-person tasting with two good friends. And...yeah, I need a lighter day to recover now. :wink:

    Beer'd Brewing and Nightshift collaboration: Organized Play Date IPA conditioned with lime and pineapple.

    This time of year, after grilling, it was time to move the organized fun indoors.

    Nightshift Trifecta Belgian Pale Ale. Meh. Lots of yeast (banana flavor and aroma). Not much else.

    Dogfish Head Theobroma. Very interesting and cool. I liked it quite a bit.

    My buddy's homebrewed PtE clone. As you can tell, it's a little on the dark side. That showed in the flavor. Very nice and hoppy, though.

    North Coast Old Rasputin XII BBA Russian Imperial Stout. This was supposed to be the highlight of the evening, but my friend had a trump card.....

    My first taste of Sam Adams Utopias. This was something else. I can imagine buying a bottle of this and keeping around for special occasions, if I'm in the mood for spirits instead of beer. :wink:

    He had one more trump up his sleeve, too: a game of cribbage....

    .....made from an Allagash Curieux barrel. The pegs were nails used in the barrel, too. Beyond cool.

    Something local; something distant. Something mundane; something obscure. Something old; something brand new. A fantastic tasting, great fun with great friends....and an upset stomach today that can only handle a Stone Coffee Milk Stout. :rolling_eyes:
