When I was a homebrewer, I used to add a pound of honey to a lot of my beers, I liked the bump in ABV, and I like the way it complimented certain styles (ambers, wheats, porters). My girlfriend uses Dundee's Honey Brown Ale in her pumpkin breads/muffins...I recently had a honey IPA from Holy City and loved it...any one else have a good experience with honey beers?

Weyerbacher Sixteen (Dark Braggot Ale). My favorite honey beer so far. Too bad it was only brewed once, for their 16th anniversary.

Hopslam is pretty awesome to me. I also recently got sent a Greenbush Brother Benjamin so I'm excited to try that one also.

Big Sky Summer Honey is one I really remember liking. In general, I like beers that use honey.

This beer, along with Fraoch, are what convinced me I really do not like heather honey.

I am a bit of a honey connoisseur, I frequently have like 5 different single source honeys at home for waffles or coffee or whatever. Would like to see more buckwheat honey and sourwood honey in beer, personally.

I only brewed beer once, using a Mr. Beer kit, I added honey to boost the abv. It was good. I don't think I've had a commercially made honey beer.

More alcohol is all ever taste in beers made with honey or other sugar additives (e.g. maple syrup, agave, candi sugar, etc.) and generally I don't like my beers to have detectable alcohol flavor, with a few exceptions. I think people who think they taste the actual honey in beers are fooling themselves.

I recently tried the Desert Swarm from Coachella Valley Brewing at a beerfest in southern california. Pleasantly surprised by it. 7% abv wit made with killer bee honey.

Having gone to a lot of jam band shows in the late 90's, I ran into my fair share of honey brown. That stuff might have biased me against the idea of honey in beer. I honestly don't even know if it is brewed with honey, but man is it a crappy beer

Drinking a 2 year old Bitches Brew...liked this beer but never loved it. However, I think I've found the sweet spot. The honey/dark chocolate aroma is jumpin' out of the snifter and the taste is rich with roast and honey and delicious dark chocolate on the finish...really good. Better than I thought it would be. Cheers, Sam!

A neighbor made the White House recipe (from a kit). It needed some time in the bottle, but it wasn't bad. Not great, but not bad. Couldn't taste the honey, though.

I just had Event Horizon recently and loved it. Stout brewed with honey and aged in bourbon barrels.
