Just picked up a big ol' box from Cow Town from Wordemupg (I think?) but am driving my wife and visiting mother around town doing errands, so could be a while till opening. Currently waiting to meet back up with them in a mall parking lot. It wouldn't be weird to see a man unwrapping a box of booze in front of a Shoppers Drug Mart, laughing hysterically, would it?

Well my box has reached the mail at long last... Because of the wait my target scored an extra bomber though :stuck_out_tongue:

Apparently 7 business days :slight_frown: But it is in the mail this evening so it should be processed and heading to a location that seems to be a suburb of a city that hosted an affiliate of an NHL team I should care more about...

    Totally okay with me.

My box is packed to go out tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, but I may have had a little car accident the other day while out shopping for it (don't worry, myself and my car are perfectly fine...the other guy not so much).

That could be due to an incorrect address or that it was placed on the wrong delivery truck.

Is a CANBIF really a CANBIF without marshmallows?

    Hell yeah it is! :sunglasses:

Just opened an awesome box from FondueVoodoo:

    Dageraad De Witte
    Seven Brides Waldo Hills IRA
    The Bruery Batch 50 GFAR
    Driftwood Belle Royal
    New Belgium 2014 La Folie
    Driftwood Sartori Harvest
    Logsdon Seizoen Bretta
    Persephone Double IPA
    Gigantic Ginourmous Imperial IPA

Awesome, glad it all arrived safely. The Changling is a Berliner with lacto - quite tasty.

Sorry about the marshmallows, I really tried to make it happen but time was against me this round. Will make it up to you at a later date.

On another note, my box arrived as well and will be opened later this evening.

Hopefully the pic works. If not, I'll work on it.

Bam! My ceiling was scorched opening this box! I have to say, it's awesome to get a box from my old home town. A huge thanks to Chris for sending a killer box and checking off some huge wants on literally no information from me. Awesome job!

    From L to R:

-Tilquin Quetsche. Holy shiiiiii......! My absolute No. 1 want!!!!!!! Never believed I'd get my hands on it!
-Tilquin Gueuze. So, the last beer I bought in Calgary before I moved to Hamilton 2 years ago was a 2011-2011 Tilquin Gueuze. It's my highest rated gueuze (more than many Cantillon's and 3F's) but that was the only vintage I've ever had. Thrilled to get a 2012-2013.
-3 Fonteinen Intense Red. Another huge want. God damn you Alberta, you are glorious!
-Evil Twin Impy Biscotti Break. Yeah! Only ever had the Natalie, not the original. Can't wait for a big coffee hit.
-Evil Twin I Love You With My Stout. Evil Twin can do no wrong. Will be fantastic!
-Sherbrooke Glenda Sherbrooke. 18.5%? Are you kidding me? One to share for sure!
-Alley Kat Olde Deuteronomy (2009!). Never had this vintage and it's probably the beer I miss most from Alberta!
-Alley Kat Old Jak's Farmhouse Ale. Another new one. A Biere de Garde? Sweet!
-Half Pints Demeter's Harvest. I know a few of my buddies who will be thrilled when I bring this out to a tasting!
-Half Pints Humulous Ludicrous. Oh baby. This bottle might not see tomorrows light!
-Half Pints Burly Wine! Are you kidding me part 2? Probably my biggest Canadian want. I never got my hands on it before Rudge stopped making it. Is the green wax 2009? If so, now with the Olde Deute and a 2009 Wild Rose BW in my cellar, this would make an epic side-by-side. Super privileged that you sent this (and probably raided your own cellar)!
-Driftwood Old Celler Dweller. Yet another new one. Winter is going to be fantastic!

Thanks again, Chris, for an amazing box. Can't wait to dig into some big Western Canada gems.

As a side note, I don't think we've ever met, but we must have passed by each other at some point in a beer aisle, beer event in Calgary from 2009-2012. I haven't been back since I moved, but have family in Calgary. Next time I'm there, I'll have to look you up and buy you a pint for that Burly Wine alone, not to mention that Quetsche!

    Cheers!
