Every membership comes with a card that notes "Member Number: 49/50". I'm sure it's dipped in wax also.

I guess the next logical question would be, does the color wax make a difference? =P

I just walk right in with no issue. No temp pass. No issues.

Not really. I mean, yeah, that's the more complicated way and I'm sure more by the book method. But when I decided not to renew my pass I would just stroll in (like you belong) and then pick up beer/liquor and go up to the register and say "Non-member alcohol purchase". They call a manager over to put his key in and they 99 non-member purchase you.

So you'd have to spend $1,750 on beer/merchandise there to make back the $349 20% membership cost. Meaning spending $1,750 only gets you back to break even. I like the concept and order from them probably 3-4 times a year, but I think the cost to get 20% of all your purchases is pretty steep.

I'm glad I wasn't, that shit would have pissed me off. Line cutting shows a complete lack of respect towards others and to the sheeple that don't speak up shame on you!

Right, this has to be the stupid membership program in existence!

You'll need the 20% discount to pay those inflated prices. $24.99 for Stickee Monkee? Wow.

A lot of people are calling you out for cutting in lines. You have not addressed this yet. What do you have to say for yourself about this? You mentioned something to Earlycsquid in an above post about being "grown men," and if you have cut in lines you should be grown about it and make a public apology on this forum. If you've never cut in lines for craft beer events and bottle releases, then defend yourself against these claims...

I'm pretty stoked on the deal of the day. Dead Guy is normally $6.99, but for today only (!) you can buy it for $10.99, a 57% price increase.

I picture the craft beer kings black out drunk, editing the site, attempting to calculate % change, and haphazardly altering font colors and striking out prices.

Now, it's likely they meant that the normal price for Dead Guy is $10.99, but who the fuck charges $10.99 for a bomber of Dead Guy? Looks like it can be had at BevMo for $6.99 all year long! I know it's probably an elite marketing strategy from some MBA marketing guru on team CBK, the whole price high and then pretend a normal price is some deal to be jumped on (don't forget to change the font to red and strike through). Anyway, a price cut from $10.99 to $6.99 is a 36% savings. There, did the math for you, craft beer kings.

They are just trying to be cool like the Cards Against Humanity guys that doubled their card pack prices for Black Friday sales last year. Of course almost all of it went to charity, but still..hilarious it was a reverse "sale".

Is that really what they're doing? I can't fathom the point of that, from the perspective of a store owner.

Man I hope that isn't what they are doing, it just reminded me of what CAH did last year.

It's different than what you're saying. Costco excludes everyone from entering the store without membership. Due to rather archaic prohibition laws that never got repelled (for the benefit of all I guess), private clubs cannot be formed that require membership to enter and buy alcohol.

Craft Beer Kings is using their membership as a discount tool, but others can also buy beer without membership. Bruery RS and wineries are exactly the same, the public can still access alcohol from their facilities. It doesn't have anything to do with getting product. Now if Bruery ONLY sold beer through RS, then it'd be an issue.
